Dividido en 3 discos, (la versión limitada) y en 2 la versión común.
MGS 3 Subsistence, (primer disco), es la pieza clave para entender los comienzos de la saga y las razones que llevan a los distintos personajes a ser protagonistas en los hechos de los posteriores títulos.
MGS 3 Snake Eater con cámara en 3ra persona, es casi como un juego nuevo, como si controlaras a ese personaje que casualmente se parece mucho a Snake, (Sam), pero mucho más japonés, (por lo tanto mejor).
el modo teatro es una forma sencilla de poder apreciar los momentos selectos de Snake Eater sin tener que jugar todo o tener un archivo grabando antes.
Persistence (segundo disco)
Los juegos extra, (Metal Gear y Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake), completan la historia visión de la "transformación" que sufre Jack hasta su fin a manos de su propio "hijo".
El modo online es fantástico no ofrece casi errores y muy divertido, ya que MGS, (metal gear solid), no es un juego FPS, (shooter en primera persona), sumándole los elementosa clásicos de MGS se abre un nuevo concepto en la saga.
Teatro secreto es una joya de humor japonés que antes era sólo posible de ver en línea.
El modo duelo es mucho mejor que en sus antecesores ya que agrega una dificultad que hace honor a la "subsistencia".
y por último "serpiente contra mono", una verdadera loca idea que pocas veces se puede realizar y en ésta oportunidad no sólo regresan los niveles de Snake Eater sino que también hay nuevos y un submodo extra.
no puedes dejar pasar como fanático y como videojugador...Subsistence es un título imperdible y que te acercará como nunca al sentimiento de acción, espionaje y táctica.

The duel mode is far better that in its predecessors since it adds a difficulty that makes honor to the "subsistence" title.
and finally "snake vs monkey", a real crazy person idea that is not found very often. in this opportunity returns using the levels of Snake Eater but that also there are new and an extra levels.
you cannot let go this title. as a fanatic and videogamer... Subsistence it is a imperdible title that will make you fell the "Tactical Espionage Action".

Metal Gear Solid is a great franchise that only got better after the third addition. i loved the action, cutscenes and length. the story was by far the best in the series with great voice acting and graphics that are supperior to any other game of the system. The game is long and has every thing an action video game fan could want including impressive controls hundreds of collectable weapons and gadgets, and with the new camoflage system, it is easier than ever before in a Metal Gear game to sneak around the enemy AI, or face them head on. this game also features a healing system in which every time you are severly injured you can patch snake up so his health can regenerate again. to add to that, you are able to hunt for animals in the jungle and eat them to regenate stamina snake will lose from all of his excercise. If your a Metal Gear fan, and you have a Playstation 2 this game should be in your possesion, and even if you have never played a Metal Gear game in your life this would be a good game to start with. There was nothing to complain about besides some very minor problems that were so minor they are hard to recall. Basically if you have a Playstation 2 and are looking for a great mature title this is the game to have.

Poor ServiceI ordered a game for my son and when received it, it was the wrong game. I tried contacting the seller, they would not respond. So I went thru paypal to complain and the seller bold faced lied. They claimed that I sent and email saying I didn't know what I was buying and that I did not read the description, but they never produced such and email. They said if I paid shipping and handling to send the game back they would refund my money. I should not have to pay shipping and handling for the mistake they made. I would advise anyone not to purchase from this seller.

What can you really say about a Metal Gear Solid game other than the effort and time put into producing it is always at its best. Continuing with great gameplay and really good plot the game is hard to beat. One thing I like about Metal Gear is the use of comedy and spufs of Metal Gear Solid 2. Plus the extra is nice as well. Pack with Metal Gear 1 and 2 for the SNES is nice additional who those who haven't play them or for those who have but don't want to get out the old system just to play them. Recommended for everyone who has never play. Great game to pick up and try.

I have always liked the MGS series. This is an outstanding addition for several reasons.
One HUGE aspect is the addition of the movable camera. One of the major downfalls of certain gameplay of the MGS series is that the camera would sometimes (or all the time to some people) get annoying, but in this special addition of "Snake eater" that problem is removed.
Other than that, either you will absolutely love these games, or you will get annoyed with the deep story plot and extensive cutscenes.

This game is so realistic and the videos and storyline are amazing. almost as good as God of War and Resident Evil 4. There's a reason why IGN gave this game a 9.8 out of 10.

I purchased this to see if it would work better than MGS:3 Snake Eater, the non-subsistence version, with my PS3 and I'm very pleased to say that I have played for hours and not ran into a single freeze. My other version was brand new out-of-the-box unplayable almost due to freezeing every 10-20 minutes and since this series was my favorite, I was bummed having sold my PS2. So, I thought I'd try Subsistence and see if it ran better. It runs perfect! Great extra add-ons too! I'm very, VERY pleased!

This is probably one of the best looking, most in-depth, and most captivating games on the Playstation 2. Hideo Kojima has outdone himself with the set up of this game, from the different camouflage and variety of foods, and the ability to play through many times with a new experience each time. A definite buy for anyone looking to play an amazing game one, two, three, or more times. A+++!

This is a excellent item.
I bought a use Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (Playstation 2) and the item looks like new and i was immediately impressed with the game.The game has two DVD ,disc #1 Subsistence and disc #2 Persistence . Overall, I'd recommend the game if you're on a budget.

The game it self is very good and I recommend it to anyony who has never played a metal gear solid game but, the reason I got this version of the third MGS was the online.To my surprise they cancelled the online gameplay which really made me mad cause thats the only reason I got the game in the first place.I think that was stupid to do cause so far this was the funniest ggame I have ever played online. EVER!!!!!

New game of subsistenceI visited several stores in Puerto Rico looking for this game without positives responses then I entered in E Bay and found the product ready to buy it. When I received it the game still not arrive at any PR store. The transaction was excellent,the prize unique and the service received by the seller was extraordinary.My son is very happy and talks about the game with his friends.What I can say about EBay, another happy customer from your services.

MGS 3: Substistencethis game is excellent, from the story to the game play and new 3rd person camera. the camera makes a huge difference in the game. being able to interogate ur enemies, get secret codes to make the enemies call down a strike raid on their own allies. then theres the 2nd disk which has the orignal metal gear 1 and 2. the 2d ones ;p. also it has silly versions of the scenes in the game, they are great and halarious. who ever plays it will luv it. so get it!

snake is the bomb!In this game Konami has really out done himself. I mean yeah, I looked forward to snake eater, but subsistence blew that game out of the water.
I take my hat off to those who finally thought to put in that third person
camera in. It adds a brand knew way to play through the game, and by the way
MGS3 is way better than MGS2.

I played Snake Eater a bit so this game didn't impress me much. The new camera controll is pretty awesome and when you fight Boss at the end and it forces you to use the restricted camera you realize how great life has been with updated version. Despite that I think the game may be the exact same.

It was my brother's birthday last month, and he told me that he wanted Metal Gear Solid 3:Subsistence. I couldn't find it anywhere here, so I checked e-bay. Lo and behold, I found it, nearly brand-new and at a better price than I could have gotten it for in any store! He was very happy with it, so I was, too.. He said it plays perfectly, and that he's already played through two or three times!

This is by far one of the best games I have ever had the chance to play. The story line is gripping, the game its self challenges your ability to think quick and also your ability to sneak. If your not a fan of the "Metal Gear" franchise where have you been buy all three games and start playing today and see what you have been missing.

Finally Kojima makes a competable Metal Gear Solid, although you cant pick fromt he M4, PSG-1 or the FAMAS, the game is spectacular online. You can have a lot of fun, just try to stay away from the glitchers as well as the whiners. If you honestly want to know how to glitch go to spectator and then go back to team select, chose your team you want then highlight yes, WAIT before you click anything be ready to pull your cable out press yes then put it back in. Try to do this within a second if your capable.
