its a very good game in every manner. it has a good camouflage system and it gives an art in the game to hide yourself. the sonar and the radar is a problem but still it just adds fun to the game.the stamina and all might be hard to maintain for newbies but the fun that you get from the way he eats animals is worth it. the game is realistic as you have to heal like real life. the radio is a good thing also. the best part of the game is when "snake's" eye gets shot by "ocelot" and after that when you go in first person mode the left side is blackened it makes it feel real.the cqc is a good addition to this game also. only problem about this game is that to shoot you have to move to first person mode and when in this mode you cant move while in splinter cell has fixed this problem.i was not a mgs fan but after i finished this game i played the 2nd mgs which proved this is the best in the mgs series

I love it cuse it's Metal Gear Solid! the best game franchise ever! i had to buy snake eater! also the price was very good seeing that the game was new and came in it's original packging

The story mode is great and the graphics are really impressive. The reason I dislike about it is because its already used, the label is not sealed, the plasitc wraped is no good, it comes with the case and the cover but it has no manual instructions. And i couldn't find it no where in stores so i have to buy it on ebay.

Loved the game, the last one on PS3 is best. This is a prequel that fills in plot holes and pokes more at the same time. Better controls and feel over the first 2 games. If you're really good and don't cheat/hint your way through you can finish in under a day - 24 hours of play - if you have a life and play here and there it can take a month.

I bought the game because when it came out my PS 2got damage and i couldn't buy it and now i have the 60 GB PS 3 that plays the PS 2 games and the launch of MTGS4 i decided to get MTGS 3. I recomend this game to everyone as one of the best MTGS game saga and PS2 and Tactical Spionage

I would like to start off by saying i have been playing the metal gear solid series since the frist MGS in 1998 and liked em ever since . I liked MGS3 snake eater i went out and bought this game on Nov 17 2004 and i loved the idea of being Jack or naked snake , AKA Big boss , Saladin . It's set in 1964 in the USSR . This game is much better then MGS2 you can eat stuff like birds fruit and more , Plus change you suits on here and face paint and the story was GREAT . I rate MGS3 snake eater on a scale of 1 to 10 , I give it a 10 for being such a great game and it gave me much fun playing it. Thanks By Harlan Walters.

I always loved the spy oriented action, and this game takes it to the next level. Featuring with better AI and better graphics and sound, I find this game is a must have!

Metal Gear Solid gameplay in a comepletely different location. Playing with Snake (Big Boss) in the jungle is extremely fun and challenging. Adding the camouflage and the fact that you need to eat to stay alive is something that completely reinvents the genre. Stealth action, cinematic storylines and exciting gameplay makes this one of the best games of all time.

It super fun. more action then metal gear solid number one. And more real in picture, motion, action.

With Cold War there came hard times and many political conflicts. With that in mind the world is in living in the dark days without even knowing it. As Snake progresses through the beginning of his youth he discovers that he has become part of a political conflict that will change his life. This is a must for a MGS fan because the booklet is written like a comic book and the art work is well done. This is just the game in its original glory, but however for most people the fixed overhead camara angle can prove as more a hindering then a help and the control scheme might be frustrating for anyone new to he franchise. As for the rest of the game it is well polished and finely tuned and the cinematics are of high quality.

As a fan of the Metal Gear series I guess I expected more. The Game is incredibly fun to play, but I found the bosses to be boring, and nothing compared to the Mech battle in MGS 2. The levels were cool, they were massive especially the level in which you fight The End boss. I would go get a copy if you like espionage shooters.

It helps to have played the previous metal gear solid games, as you'll have the basics on how to play, and also story line is brilliant and links in well with the previous games. Ive played this games over and over, and there are so many diferent ways of playing, from aggressive shoot em up style, to hiding and using stealth....

What a great game, just cant wait untill Metal Gear Solid 4 is released for more!
