I love Annie Lennox. Great vocalist and God what a variety of tones she carries!
The disc was as described and in GREAT shape. Price was good and I like that because Ebay is NOT such a reasonable shopping place anymore but this Guy Rocks!
See...Good things come from Thousand Oaks. My old stomping grounds. Ventura County...Canejo Valley Days and the Friday nite life. Thank you for the music and the memories.

I bought this cd about a week ago and it is one of the best that I've bought. Her voice range is off the chart.

I JUST LOVE THIS ALBUM. I MAY BE IN A MINORITY BUT THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS I'VE HEARD. I'VE NEVER BEEN AN EXTRAORDINARY ANNIE LENNOX FAN EXCEPT FOR A FEW SONGS BUT SHE REALLY PUTS IT TOGETHER ON THIS ALBUM. NO MORE I LOVE YOUS IS JUST OUTSTANDING AND SHE MANAGES TO MAKE THESE COVER SONGS HER OWN AND IMPROVES IMMENSELY ON MOST OF THEM. BUY IT! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

  Annie Lennox's Medusa: Different certainly
Review created: 08/19/01
by: telynor -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Continuing to bravely stride forth on her own, Lennox soars with this one...

Cons:
Waiting for the next solo release from her...

I've always been a big fan of the Eurythmics, but then I heard Diva, the previous solo work by Annie Lennox, and decided that she sounded much better on her own. Most of the works on this one are from other writers than herself, modified a touch, and then belted out in that unique voice of hers that must have wings, it's so crisp and clean. Some of the songs are rather hackneyed, and one in particular is pretty dreadfull, but there are several that make the CD purchase worth it, and I'll go more in depth on the individual tracks. Yes, the album is pop, probably more suited to those of you...

  For The Cool In You
Review created: 01/25/01

Pros:
Train In Vain, Whiter Shade Of Pale, Don't Let It Bring You Down

Cons:
I Can't Get Next To You, Downtown Lights

Through various visual re-inventions, there remains one thing you could always say about Scottish diva, Annie Lennox: she's truly got The Voice. That's something which playing down her looks through buzz cuts, G.I. Joe threads, and in-your-face orange hair color can't alter. Best known for her partnership with Dave Stewart, spanning 10 years via The Tourists, and those darlings of 80's synth-pop, The Eurythmics, Lennox went on to release her first solo effort, Diva, in 1992. Medusa, her sophomore CD, was released in 1995, and further validated her musical popularity through its 1996 Grammy...

Only My Annie Could Make The Clash Sound Good.

Pros:
Exceptional cover songs, the excellent live concert is a bonus.

Cons:
The occasional clunker.

After her tenure with dave stewart as one half of the powerhouse music duo, the Eurythmics, Annie Lennox stepped out on her own to pursue a successful solo career which included 1992's "Diva", which was critically acclaimed as well. Her follow up to that album was 1995's "Medusa" which featured no new material from Lennox. The album was released in two very different guises, one as a standard album, the other as a deluxe two-disc set, which included the "Medusa" album and a recording of her 1995 central park concert. Initially I was diassapointed when I learned it was a cover album,...

Now I'm Feeling Bad:I Liked Annie Lennox's Cover Album "Medusa" Better Than Her Original Works!

Pros:
Impressive vocals, Great mix of songs, Intriguing musical accompaniment

Cons:
One or two lesser tracks, Short

I know a thing or two about liberal guilt, as a liberal who frequently is found feeling guilty about something or another, but I'm not sure there is an acknowledged condition of "reviewer's guilt." I mean, we reviewers are supposed to be professional, efficient and as honest and discriminating as possible, right? Yet, as I sit down to review the Annie Lennox album "Medusa," I am overcome with a strong sense of guilt and I already know why. "Medusa" is a strong, four-star album. No question in my mind about that. It is a wonderful album and I enthusiastically recommend it. My feelings of...

  Desire, Despair, Desire-So Many Monsters!
Review created: 09/28/99
by: Leah -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Every single word and note of all 10 songs

Cons:
That I can't choose another of my 10 favorite songs for her to cover!

So glad I stayed awake long enough to catch Annie Lennox and the Eurythmics perform a few nights ago on the Saturday Night Live 25th Anniversary Special! There was the Medusa Diva, in combat fatigues. WHAT A WOMAN! The next day, "Medusa" went back onto my 5 disc CD changer. It is never off for long. I wasn't really into the Eurythmics, except I loved their hits. I think that again, courtesy of TV, when I saw Annie Lennox perform "No more I love you's" on the Grammys a few years back, dressed as a prima ballerina (God, I hope I am not making this memory up!), I was hooked. That song is the...
