Meade ETX-90EC (325 x 90mm) Telescope

Great Telescope if you are serious star gazer like me. I have used it alot since Christmas and its very easy to use and powerfull.

This is an excellent scope for those who want a decent scope. It comes with Autostar (has 1400 database), the apeture is decent too and the focal length is about average. The price that this scope is selling for here ($379) is a little much. You can get this scope for ($299) brand new out of the box.

I am a long time amateur astronomer and am impressed with this telescope. I have not checked it out optically but have heard a lot of great things about Meads optics. The telescope show quality all over. I am into variable stars and I really appreciate the variable speed motor which enables me to move the field of view several degrees away and do it smoothly. The little finder scope, although excellent, gives me a pain in my neck when observing at the zenith making things uncomfortable.So I will be replacing it with a right angle finder as used on the ETX 125.It would be fine if your interest is terestial though.I highly recommend this scope to anyone who is interested in viewing the stars and planets.
