School's Out - Forever by James Patterson (2006)

The series is great. I was very happy that I won the whole series. James Patterson knows how to captavate the reader. I have read all of his books and now i am trying to get them all in hardback.

Okay. After reading the first four pages of the first book, I WAS HOOKED. Now, this is my new favorite series (and I'm a 10-year-old boy who's read and reread Harry Potter at least 20 times!!). The characters feel real, (Kids, don't you just hate it when kids in books act like miniature adults?) the plot is great, and THE SUSPENSE IS MURDEROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, HOLY CRUD!! It's like, some books start out, give you fifty pages to meet the characters, then the adventure starts. This book, you read two pages, and folks, let the exitement begin... and not stop until the end of the book. (The suspense is especially murderous if you've got a friend like me, who when you're on a sleepover with, randomly shouts out thinks like:
Suddenly, -ehhh- realized that -ehhh- -ehhh- had turned against us.
"-ehhh-? How could you??") (Poor Duncan.) This is a truly great book.

Note: Many people think that the MR books are sequels to When the Wind Blows and The Lake House. They're not. This book features a flying girl named Max who escapes from a place called the School. Most of the similarities end there.

By the way, I'm on Book 4 and Angel (still) creeps me out.

Wonderful book. Hard to lay down when you start, but I love anything James Patterson writes!! Great author!!!!!!

These kids sure know how to have a good time and get and stay out of trouble! Take the adventure into the 2nd book of Maximum Ride like it was your own. Fly into it and fly through it...James Patterson is a true author for ALL readers! There are flips and turns and powers of the young flying flock that will just amaze you into wanting to read more. I'm waiting for my turn to read the 3rd book. I can't wait to get into it!

When my grandchildren started reading these books, I purchased them to be able to know what they were interested in, and got hooked. We now have a common interest and can discuss the stories which are simply fascinating. These books have no boundaries on age. I keep waiting for the next volume to come out so we can experience more thrills with Max and her entourage.

I love this series because it was something that my teen daughter and I could both read and enjoy together. After she read the first one, she was hooked on them. We are both waiting for the next one, and maybe this time I will get to read it first.

I recently purchased James Patterson`s second novel in his series: Maximum Ride Schools Out Forever. This novel is the genre science fiction. It deals with six mutant children who are 2 precent bird. They are on the run from Erasers, mutant wolf human, who want to return them to The School, (lab), where they were created. I highly recommend this adventure packed novel to young adults.

Ok, the truth is I'm not much of a reader. I don't read many novels but the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson is EXCELLENT! I read all three novels in less than a month! And I don't READ novels! LOL

The pace never slows down. NEVER. The short chapters help a bunch by being able to end each reading session at a chapter, no need to flip down page corners or use a bookmark.

I always wish that I can fly and while reading this series, I sometimes felt that I could through the eyes of Max & Fang. I imagined myself right there with them while flying with the birds of prey. Circling, diving, riding the currents, and dive bombing the ERASERS! How awesome is that?

Buy this series for your young reader or for your adult reader! Have some burn ointment on hand because you and/or your reader will burn their fingers flipping the pages, too!

Like anything that James Patterson writes, this book is very good for all ages. I read it, my aunt read it and my niece read it, all different age groups and all of us really liked it. It is fantasy and family, I really liked it.

An excellent read for both teens and adults. Rapid action, good writing and engaging characters make this a very enjoyable read. Be sure to read the entire series. It is thought-provoking and entertaining.

As always James Patterson has written a book that you can't put down. It leaves you waiting for the next adventure.

Its a "can't put it down book".Well all J. Patterson books are.I've read 40 of them and not a dull one in the bunch.

I bought it because it was the sequel to Maximum Ride The Angel Experiment,which I enjoyed tremensly. This book was just as good. Once I started it, I just wanted to keep on reading.

I bought this book and read it in 2 days.I found the first book in this series and loved it.I like buying the hard cover books because you can literally pass them along and share them almost worry free.The book is well written excitement from beginning to end and I can't wait for the next in the series.James Patterson is my new favorite writer.Buy it only if you want thought provoking entertainment.

My son wanted this book very much! He had read the previous book by James Patterson and was captivate by it. He is enjoying the book and I would say that it is an appropriate book for 6th-8th graders, especially boys. He does not like it as well as the author's first book but, is reading (yeah!) and enjoying it.

I loved this book because it was written so well by one of the best writers of all time,James Patterson.He can make anything believable.Do you believe kids could really fly? You will after you read Maximum Ride/The ride of a Lifetime/ and Maximum Ride/School out for ever..

I have read all but 2 of James Patterson's books. He is my favorite author and I look forward to the next Maximum Ride book that is coming out in the coming months. I have not yet read this book, but it is the next one I will read.
I had been looking for this particular book and when I saw it listed I just had to have it. I love reading and love books!!!

I love James Patterson the author. His books are very interesting and you cannot put them down. You just cannot go wrong with James
Patterson.

The first book in this series was the first james patterson book i read...I am not a teen ,i loved this book..the characters are easily identified with...I can not wait for the next book in line..the children are young but ageless..and endearing in their love for each other..they are a family,,but still searching for the traditional family..which will never be,as they are mutated..

I love the fact that it picks up right where the last left off, so you feel as if the adventure was uninterrupted and you haven't missed a thing. It also leaves it open for further books of it's kind, leaving you excited and looking forward to another Maximum Ride release!
The book is written so casually, yet perfectly for this band of not-really-so-unlike-us kids, there's no instances of feeling as if you can't keep up with the storyline.
I recommend both Maximum Ride, School's Out to anyone who loves a great book!

This series is different than the ususal Patterson, but I like it just as much. The details are great, and I have read almost every James Patterson book...Can't wait for the next one!

James Patterson is an awesome writer. He knows how to use all of your emotions and keep you coming back for more. The Maximum Ride series was something different for him but once again it was great. I would recommend this series and all of his books to everybody and have been doing just that.

I read the book in 3 days- I suggest you read part one first,but if you don't it is sstill a good read for all ages if you are into fantasy or sci-fi.

He writes the greatest books ever. I buy them as soon as they come out. A good clean writer. I have read most of them and they get better all the time.
