I was inspired to purchase this beautiful book about wedding cakes because of the upcoming wedding of the daughter of a dear friend. We are knee deep in the search for the perfect cake, dress, and any ideas for showers and parties.
This book was such a lovely coffee table addition, and everyone who comes to visit immediately picks it up to thumb through the stunning cakes. It is a must have for every bride, and for those of us who are dreaming of the perfect wedding for our own daughters.

I first saw this book in the public library and just had to have it. I did not want to pay the published price of $60, so I knew I could rely on Ebay to find it.

I wound up buying 2 of the books for under the $60 price WITH the shipping. I had a friend whose daughter was getting married and she wanted the book also.

What a deal, I always look to Ebay first for my purchases.

This is a great book, I gave it to my mom as a mother's day gift and she loved it! There was beautiful pictures and good descriptions of the cakes, perfect for new ideas.

I bought this book as a gift to a friend who is thinking of starting her own wedding planner business. This book gives great examples of all types of cakes and wedding themes. She loves it because of the fantastic photography and super ideas for future potential clients to use.

This is an excellent book! It has beautiful pictures of each cake and gives detailed instructions for making the cake yourself. A great inspiration for any bride as she makes decisions regarding her own wedding cake.

Many of the cakes pictured are in her wedding magazine, but there are just as many that aren't. Wonderful tips and guides as well as recipes. I recommend it to anyone interested in cakes. It is truly a Martha Stewart book....Superb.

What I love about this book, after buying several other wedding cake books, is that for the money, this one has a lot more cakes to give you ideas. Some are basic and some are out of the norm. You just get a lot more options. You won't be disappointed in this book.

I love this Product. It is more than what I thought it would be. the Book has a perfect presentation, gorgeous pictures, and it even has recipies, and technique tips for making your own cakes. Would recommend to any one who is looking for a wedding cake design, as well as for anyone who is interested in baking and decorating cakes.

It doesn't matter if you are planning your own wedding, or you just want to learn how to make (and decorate) wedding cakes; this book is for you! This book has 111 different cakes pictured, and all the information you need to make them yourself! From the actual recipe for the cake to the various types of frostings, this book has it all!
There is a section to show you how to do piping, what tips you can use to create what design (a picture of the tips and then a picture of the designs you can create with those tips), how to make basketweave patterns or tier decorations, how to create flowers with gum paste, working with marzipan, how to marbleize and much more! The recipes for the various types of frostings and glazes are included as well.
There is a section on the various types of icings/frostings with a description of the taste and appearance, what (cake) it goes best with, how it is best used, and any other extra information that is good to know [i.e. pg. 29: "Fondant helps keep cakes fresh, so it's often used for those too big to be refrigerated."].
Overall, this book is a wonderful find, and it has many helpful tips and ideas for making your wedding day fantastic or your cake decorating experience easy and fun!

I first saw this book at Barnes and Noble while planning my wedding. Incredible photos and detailed information on how designs were created, what ingredients were used,how they were put together, etc. If you are debating making your own cake, this book will give you a huge amount of confidence!

This is a great hardbound book with detailed pictures and directions. I purchase this book because my daughter makes and designs wedding cakes and we both have found that the Martha Stewart Books are very helpful. Lot of helpful tricks of the trade, and idas for helping Brides which my daughter does do with all her Brides. I would recommend this completely, it is a large book w/ cover and I am glad that I was able to find it on ebay as it made it alot more affordable then regular retail price. Great addition to cookbook library.

This book is awesome for everyone. It not only gives great cake recipes, but gives a detailed "how to" for decorating and assembling. My daughter is soon to be married and we looked at this book at Barnes and Noble and the price was $60.00. Thank goodness for ebay.

If you know the magazine, you must love how acurate and concise the recipes are. This book gathers some of the best cakes to have passed through Martha Stewart Weddings, and it is simply beautiful! If you have a knack for cakes and plan to bake your own or a friend's wedding cake this is a great reference book. However, if you are only looking for inspiration, borrow it from the library as it is a little pricy, and our local libraries need our memberships.
