Nintendo Wii: Mario Party 8
Mario Party is the game that has brought me back to
Nintendo. I originally discovered it back for the N64
and then I once again played it on the gamecube. When I
heard that they were making number 8 for the Wii I decided
to buy the entire system for that game.
Mario Pary games are like electronic board games. Up to
four people can play and you roll an electronic dice like
a board game. You then move on the board. At the end of
each person's board you play a "Mini-game". These mini
games are either 4 on 4, battle 4 on 4, cooperative teams,
or 1 on 3 games. You compete for coins that you can use
to buy stars during the game. The player with the most
stars & coin combination wins.
This game had 4 30+ year olds having a blast at my home!
It was beyond fun. We were giggling and moving like no
other party before.
Mario Party 8 takes great advantage of the Wii remote system.
At the start you have to swing your remote up to roll your dice.
You have normal pointing and moving motions along with a dart
throwing motion at points.
The mini games greatly use the controller. You are shooting,
balancing, lassoing, shaking, and so on! Great fun. :)
I was not disappointed. This is the second game that I have
purchased (and I rarely purchase games, only rent). I'm so
happy that I have a Wii now. :)

I played Multiplayer for over four hours with three friends and the game was a blast. The mini-games were all fresh and didn't get repetitive at all, it was near-perfect. Doesn't even need the Nun chuck extension.

It's like a virtual board game - with little mini break away games!! Good for hours, and I mean HOURS of fun! It's tedious trying to conquer the levels so that they are all open to play but once they are all available it's a great group game!! It's a blast!

I bought this game for my mother who loves Mario Party. It is basically the same format as all the previous mario parties. The graphics are better. There are new game maps. You can play with up to four players. Over all, I am satisified with the game.

Could not believeit was one of popular item which my kids really enjoy. I checked the price at Wal-Mart and Beat Buy and Target. Item I purchased on e-bay was much cheaper than store price and also it was as perfect as brand new.

I like this game because adults can play it with kids, kids can play it with each other or it can be played by one player- even adults play alone and enjoy it!
It can be a pretty long game if being played by more than two people but if only two are playig it can be made fairly short.
There are lots of games to play on this one disk. My whole family enjoys it!

Great Game!Decided to buy the game after renting it. It is a very fun and entertaining game to play, especially with a group of friends! Highly recommend it to anyone who has played previous Mario Party games and to classic Mario game lovers.

Good game for family and friendsThis is a great game but only if you have several wii remotes and you are playing with friends or family. It is no fun playing with the CPU. The game brings about a lot of laughter and I guess for some people, frustration. It is basically a series of mini games where the players verse each other which is the fun part and you try to race around the board and collect as many stars as possible. I'd say this is one of the best Wii games as of now.

I get into games like these especially Mario games. I will enjoy this game along with my family and friends. I have a WII party almost once a week. That is how much I like the WII system. I also recommend getting the WII over any other game system due to the versatility that Nintendo made this system.By bringing out the classic games from the nintendo on up. Way to go Nintendo.

Fun with WiiThis game is awesome. Fun to play with the family. A must buy for any gamer who has at least 1 other person to regularly play with. 4 players are better. But it fun fun fun. Well more than forth the price if you can get it for under the store price of $49.99 + tax.

Good game!It's an ok game. Many points where time is wasted every time you start the game. There is a very large amount of games on the disc, but many of them are very short and offer little excitement. Overall, the game is ok, but now what I thought it would be.
