Mame [Remaster] - Original Cast (CD 1999)

Mame was a classic Broadway musical from 1966. Jerry Herman's genius for music and lyrics come together in this sparkling performance. The original cast recording is remastered into the CD format and the results are incredible. The original cast including Angela Lansbury and Bea Arthur and a large Broadway orchastra come together to create this masterpiece. My original LP had been damaged and being able to replace it with a perfect recording in the CD format was the reasoning behind my purchase. I am totally satisfied with the CD and the service from the company I ordered it from thru E-Bay. There are several other recordings I need to replace and will do so, with confidence, with this company.

This is a really great Cast recording featuring one of the great ladies of the musical theatre, Angela Lansbury. A great addition to any collection. One of the really unique things about this CD is that it includes bonus recordings of some of the songs played and sung by the composer, Jerry Herman. Including a song, Camoflauge, that was apparently cut before the show was finalized. A real gem!
