I brought this book because I had been working out to Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD and I wanted to get more details about how I should be eating. This book was very detailed and brought out a lot facts about my body that I did not know. I love the fact that there are recipes as well as exersises in the book as well. Some of the meals seemed a little unrealistic to me, but I did enjoy all the details that were provided. It is a very helpful book.
Excellent, exactly what I was looking for. All the examples for exercising are well thought out and current as to what is really effective for today's serious weight lifting. The meals are good, not great. Some are fairly easy to prepare. It was harder to find the items that she listed is some health food stores. But all in all I thought it is a very good book and I would reccommend it to anyone interested in serious weight training.
In shopping around, price was the best. Friend reccomended site, and I'm glad I came here. Everything went GREAT!!! And this book is EXACTLY what eveyrone should read to boost themselves into becoming "The new you"
I have been an advid fan of the show "The Biggest Loser." Jillian gives you all the tips, on how to succeed in weight loss! There are easy healthy recipes to follow, to ensure you make the right eating choices everyday. She is a great motivator! I recommend this book for a much happier, healthier, lifestyle change!
I personally don't like fish or many salad dressings, so I was disappointed to see that this book contained recipies for a lot of both. However, the workouts that she puts together are excellent.
Great tips, easy to read and it works! Great pics with different moves. Effective workout. Diet hard to follow and not very realistic but informative. Motivating and good tips for mixing up your everyday routine.

Jillian is a no nonsense gal who tells it like it is. I love her 'shut up and just do it' attitude on the biggest loser so much that I have purchased her books and videos! This book is full of awesome recipes, but the most important to me, was she gives you 30 days worth of menus! No more trying to plan your day around what you are supposed to eat! Now, it's as simple as looking at her menu every morning, knowing what you are going to have to eat, and going on about your day. That simple! Finally, something that I can stick to! About time!
It is an EXCELLENT book. Very easy to read. It feels like she is talking to YOU not at you. Her MEALS were not for the "average" folks but you could "tweak" them without a huge change in calories/fat/carbs. As with ANY diet/health book, we all KNOW what we should do and eat, it is a matter of doing it. Most people do it for 2-3 days and give up. If you fall off the horse, brush yourself off, put on your hat, and get back on. Being healthly is a lifelong choice and she does tell you how to get rid of the last 10 pounds but you have to be hard on yourself. They are not going to just go away. If you stick with her book she will get those last 10 pounds gone, it is just a matter of sticking with it.
Had a baby ~8 months ago and was trying to shed the last "few" pounds. Up until this point, I wasn't really doing anything to help get the weight off, so I figured I would give it a try. I was a bit skeptical at first, but figured what do I have to lose?! So, I ordered the book and read it the same day (quick read). Jillian did an awesome job explaining her reasoning for why we can't lose the weight and why her method will work. I started the program just shy of 2 weeks ago. I am restricted to 1,400 cal/day, but surprisingly do not feel hungry. As a busy working mom, I will admit that I don't completely follow her exercise regimen, but do ride the semi-recumbent bike 3-4X/wk. Within 1 week, I had lost 6 pounds and at present (just shy of 2 weeks), I have been able to comfortably get into my size 6 pre-pregnancy slacks without having to squeeze!!
I joke with my husband that my goal is to be the same weight I was in high school. At the rate I'm going with this diet, it may actually happen!!
Absolutely LOVE the book and highly recommend it to other that need to lose a "few" pounds.
