Makeup and Beauty Secrets for Women of Color with Christine Reynolds (2006, DVD)

I have never been a makeup kind of girl. Although, I do wear lipstick and mascara. I have played around with eyeliners, shadows and foundations and I just can't seem to get the look I that I want. I purchased the video thinking that they would go into detail on how to select the right foundation for your skin type, i.e., liquids vs minerals, types of eye shadows for your skin tone and type, how to prevent eye shadows from becoming a grease slick on your eyelid, drugstore cosmetics vs department store cosmetics and ... I did not receive any of that information in this video. I am guessing that the three models that were featured were not makeup wearers either, because the host constantly corrected them on the proper application process. After all was said and done, the makeup that was applied did not look all that great. I think this video could have been a lot better.
