This video is quite charming. It's the story of a young girl, who is very ill. Her brother Landon learns that if she doesn't find a reason to keep going she might die. He builds a snowman (Snowden) outside her window and uses him to weave a tale that he will only tell her in parts, after she has eaten and rested. It's a great story of family love and something everyone can enjoy.
The writer of this story used familiar sounding names for the main characters to better help children identify with them. The story has somewhat of a generic feel to it. However it tackles many things children enjoy. It has a magical snowman (Frosty??), a magical kingdom (oz???), (an evil doer Wicked witch of the west???). the main character is named Emory Elizabeth (clifford the big red dog ???). The story is a fun story with a lesson about inner strength, and sibling love and relationships. The older brother does seem wise beyond his years, even more so than the dr and the paents, but I think my children better identified with a child being the hero than an adult. My son will watch this story literally 3 times a day if we let him, and wont so much as move a muscle while doing so, and thats saying alot, because he goes 100 miles an hour the rest of the time. So the story must hit home with him (he is 2 years old, and loves snow so I think this may be his connection). Don't buy it unless you want to watch it over and over, this is actually my second copy as I lost the first (mistakenly sent it to netflix instead of I am ledgend so if you rented I am ledgend and got snowden, sorry about that).
