The Magellan Triton Series is an excellent GPS and ahead of its time. It is easy to use but that assumes that you have the Technical Support. Magellan Triton Tech Support is OF NO VALUE and is PRACTICALLY WORTHLESS. They use a call center in India and the people do not speak fluent English and do not understand the unit. You will spend a great deal of time waiting on the phone and the phone service is only 9 X 5 or 45 hours per week. The Jungle Ghost people are great. Located in the USA they offer 12 X 7 X 365 day tech support and are very knowledgeable. They pretest all the units and the product is ready to go when you receive it. You can look them up on the Internet.

Beware of Magellan products

Be careful with Magellan products. Their support is absolutely terrible. I recently performed a software update from their website on my Meridian Color GPS unit which locked the unit up during the updating process leaving the unit completely inoperative. Their tech support (in India) refused to take the unit (which I paid over $500 for) in for reflashing and said the only thing they could offer me was a discount on a new product. They no longer support my unit, a model that was sold up through Dec of 2005. I tried calling their corporate office in California countless times and you can never..
