Magellan Maestro 3100 Car GPS Receiver

this thing is great, it does almost everything my friends does, and he paid through the roof for his, i highly recommend it

It has a good screen size, and is very portable. Battery life is good ( approx. 4 Hrs ).

I would like to see alternate routes on screen as well(none of the GPS units have this feature though). Perhaps they will add this feature in future to all GPS devices.

This instument has worked well and instructions included very helpful to enhance warrantee registry to good maintenance.

I think the Magellan Maestro 3100 Car GPS Receiver is awesome. There is not anything that I don't like about it. It works great. We were even able to upgrade the maps at no charge, GREAT. I purchased it because we are traveling alot this summer to some places we've never been. I would recommend it to anyone.

I fell in love with this item when i borrowed one for our vacation. its not the exact one i borrowed but its the same maker. The one i borrowed attached easier than this one but thats ok. the voice was different also. pretty much everything else was the same. I would recommend it for anyone who travels alot and if you can find it on ea=bay cheaper (which i did) then in a store, go for it.

Used it recently on a trip up North - Did not know where I was going - and this GPS easily routed me. If I made a right before I was supposed to, it immediately re-routed me back on my way. As people in that are told me, it doesn't always route you the shortest way if you know the area, but if you don't, it gets you there, and I have heard this is true about all GPS units. My husband who thought I bought another toy, after this trip, touts it as better than white bread. Everyone should have one. This one was inexpensive, reliable, clear to understand the voice and the maps, and very easy to set. For the average person, this unit is excellent!!!!

borrowed one an discovered that i had to have one; seller was very accurate on his product; would buy from him again!

I bought this Magellan GPS system for my Grandson and couldn't be happier.
I was shipped quickly and works perfectly.

I like the apparent simplicity of operation. I bought this because I have a horrible sense of direction and am finding myself having to drive to new locations more frequently. I look forward to becoming familiar with the operation and hopefully will be pleased with the results.

Thought I was buying new Magellan 3100 because it was listed as sealed in box. There was no mention that it was refurbished. Don't care for the way they do busy.

My brother-in-law had a Magellan 3100 and we used it to travel from Home all the way to Georgia.. The Magellan saved us travel time and kept us on course so well, I dicided I wanted one for myself and bought it on ebay. However, My older brother wanted one also. He now has this one I bought and I purchased yet another from another seller on ebay.. I recomment the Magellan Maestro 3100 to anyone who has to travel, or lives in a large city. All you need to do is type in the address you want to go to, and follow directions as they are spoken to you. What a wonderful way to find your way....really have no dislikes, really like it, If it could be improved......only thing i can think of is a lighter power cord....so it doesn't try to drag it off the place you put it...we didn't use the window mount, as we didn't want it in the way of vision to the road....

i love everything about my gps. it works great and i got one heck of a deal on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i would reccomend that everyone in the market for one to check out the deals that they can get compared to the in store price. it's worth the wait to get the great deal i got. this retails for approximately $300 and i got it for $132 including shipping and i got it in a great amount of time as well.

WE HAVE A MAGELLAN 4200 AND LIKE IT VERY MUCH. THIS 3100 IS FOR OUR SECOND CAR. IT WORKS WELL--GETS ME WHERE I NEED TO GO AND BACK. ONLY THING ABOUT THE 3100 COMPARED TO THE 4200 IS THERE ARE NOT AS MANY POINTS OF INTEREST. OTHER THAN THAT, IT'S SMALL--I LIKE THAT--AND WORKS WELL.

Bought the receiver three days before taking a 4,000 mile trip. It saved my Life, Marriage, and my Family. Plugged it in, Entered Addresses, and off we went. It took us everywhere we wanted to go with no problems. Easy to program, even a fifth grader can do it! I will purchase another in the near future! P.S. Never once looked at a map!

My husband swears by Magellan so we bought the 3100 for my 26 year old daughter for her birthday. She had never used a GPS before but within 5 minutes she was driving to her destination with her Magellan 3100 to help her. I love the fact that the maps are pre-loaded, unlike it's competitors. We turned it on and off she went. Entering a home address was simple and easy. The voice commands are perfect. The GPS allows you to choose a detour button if you get stuck in traffic or there is an accident ahead. You can choose the shortest distance, with freeways, without freeways ... all of which are extremely helpful and necessary herein Southern California. The GPS alerts you with a tone when it's time to make a turn and you can adjust the volume to suit your needs. There are useful POIs (points of interest) such as ATMs, shopping, etc and the GPS will take you to the closest one, if you like. The saving of Previous Destinations will prove to be a very useful tool.

I don't know what more I can say other than you should definately consider Magellan over the others out there.

I decided to buy the Magellan Maestro because I had borrowed one from a friend and really liked it. It makes traveling much easier and far less stressful when you know exactly how to get there without getting lost or wasting time asking for directions.

LOVE IT, BUT there's one problem, the battery doesn't stay charged very long. I needed an additional GPS, already owned a tom-tom. Have 2 vehicles. Needed one quick and inexpensive. This was really the answer.

Easy enough to use initially.
VERY disappointed when I tried to update the program. It locked up. It is over two (2) weeks in the repair shop and I asked for the status, their reply is, "I apologize for the inconvenience that you are experiencing right now.
The repair process takes 21 business days or 3-4 weeks so the unit is still in the repair center." Sounds like they take 3-4 weeks no matter what the problem is. Inconvenience, I certainly will not encourage anyone to buy their product. I also TRIED to but a US power adaptor. I got the cord, but they don't have the adaptor, and when I called, they couldn't tell me when they would be getting them in. Hopefully no one really "needs to count on using their product".

honestly, i never regret buying magellan maestro 3100 car gps receiver.
i dont have to turn on my computer to print out directions again.

GPS is great, goes street name by street name plus name of exits on Freeways and the exit numbers. Gives directions well in advance to change lanes in plenty of time. East to program and read.

works great, I bought it for my wife and she uses it everyday it does need product updates but those do not come out untill 3rd quarter of the year but other than thtat no complaints

Was shipped at the time they said, the box was completely sealed, I liked it a lot, it was exactly was I was looking for!!!!!!
