It's official, any Anime with the word Macross in the name will most likely be based on music... O.k. you know about Macross 7 right? Normally, I'm a video game player and this is the first time I've written a movie review in quite a while. I must say at first my anime viewing is about as limited as it gets. After watching some Japanese Anime on sci fi channel and then buying a few comics and some videos I wasn't prepared for it all. "Macross Plus" appears to be the "Top Gun" of anime, in that it the movie focuses on pilots of high speed jets in love while coming to grips with their past and proving themselves as the best pilot. Unlike "Top Gun," "Macross Plus" also has a sci-fi story and setting, which only adds to an already excellent plot line. There is a lot of action involved, making for a great movie I'd recommend to anyone.
