M*A*S*H - Martinis and Medicine Collection (2006, DVD)

I tried to buy the Collector's Set with the 2 Bonus Discs and other memorabilia. The buyer's profile listed him as being from SC. Turns out he was from China, and as soon as I paid for it through Paypal, EBay revoked the bid saying the account was hacked. I eventually did get something in the mail. I was sent burned copies of the 11 seasons of the Chinese release (Thankfully it was still in English) and that was all I got.

I gave this to my husband for Father's Day. First off, it came very promptly and in perfect condition (brand new, sealed in the packaging). When he opened it, he was very surprised and thrilled... his response was "best show ever!" Thank you!

I love this series! I watch the re-runs on TV, but having the whole set is better. Now I get to watch every episode in order.

What to do on a rainy night. Well, this is the answer. Buy this set and keep it for that rainy night. Gather some goodies and good friends and sit around the TV and enjoy meeting all the classic characters of a show that touched our hearts years ago only to find they can still touch our hearts today.

This really takes me back to a time in my life when we jumped off the school bus a raced to the TV! Anyone that grew up during the 70's will love this!

I am a great fan of the TV series and decided to read the book that started it all. It was funny, irreverent, and wonderful. It is a very quick read that kept me amused all the way through. MUCH better than the movie.

Our family has enjoyed the TV version of M*A*S*H from the beginning, from bumbling Henry Blake to fatherly Sherman Potter. We often catch the reruns on Hallmark and TVLand and decided we wanted to own the complete series so this was something of a no-brainer for us. The movie that started it all was an extra as far as we are concerned - I remembered seeing it in the theatre way-back-when but was more captivated with the TV version - Alan Alda & Co. were easier for me to identify with.

I'm not wild about the packaging used for the CDs but one can't always have everything.

If you love MASH, then this is the collection to have! It encompasses the movie, entire eleven seasons of the television program including the feature length series finale, and has lots of special features (two dvd's worth)! An added bonus is the packaging. It captures the spirit of the program and looks nice. However, if you you like a uniform dvd case size, beware it's oversized in comparison (but it holds 36 dvd's, so what do you expect?). On that same note, however, the only down side to this collection is the packaging. Although it does look great, it is the cardboard pocket type of storage that over time will scratch the discs. So, if you invest in this set, it would also be advisable to buy multi-disc replacement cases to keep your purchase in tip-top condition for years of viewing pleasure! A great purchase!

This is a 36-disc set, packed in cardboard sleeves. The packaging design is disastrous. All of the discs are scraped and damaged where they rubbed against the cardboard box during shipping. They are un-playable. They can be resurfaced, for a cost of $2 to $5 each, but that adds another $72 to $180 to the price of having a new sets of DVDs that can be played. We couldn't be more disappointed.

I love M*A*S*H* it's one of my favorite television shows. I bought it because I have been wanting it for awhile and it was a good price for it.

This is a great way to have all the episodes. I bought this for my husband he is a big MASH fan and I'd recommend buying this collection the price is not too high. How much would you spend if you bought all seasons one at a time. For all the MASH fans out their this is a great investment.

SO I LOOKED IT UP ON EBAY AND FOUND THE SAME SET I SAW AT THE STORE FOR HALF THE PRICE. I EXPECTED A OPENED USED SET WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE WITH ME BUT WHAT I GOT WAS A BRAND NEW SEALED SET. I remember watching this in syndication when I was about 5 years old. MASH was still on the air for about 2 more years on CBS, so I got to see a lot of early programs while watching the end. I dont remember seeing the final episode until about 10 years ago on FX, and it can easily be said it's the most powerful, emotional episode in the entire series. It ranks right next to Colonel Henry Blake leaving MASH and Radar goes home as the hardest episodes to sit through without getting very emotional. MASH did something that very few TV shows before or since have ever done: it took a very real time in American history, and managed to convey humor and the seriousness of a situation. While episodes like Trapper and Hawkeye going to Tokyo and turning the town upside down, and the constant drag attempts like Klinger to get out are always balanced by Henry Blake not getting home, soldiers losing their sight or limbs, racism and nepotism. While it got a little preachy towards the end, the humor and characters were still present. Most shows when they startlosing major players, the quality immediately drops. Not so with MASH. While Henry Blake left, quickly followed by Trapper John, they were replaced by the very fatherly Colonel Father and BJ Honeycutt. Not long after, the bumbling Frank Burns was replaced by Charles Emerson Winchester. Then Radar went home. Every character had it's great strengths and weaknesses, and each one made the show in their own way. For every prank that Hawkeye and Trapper or BJ played on Burns, it came back when they tried to do it to Winchester. I think for every generation growing up, it should be required viewing to see what quality television really was. Too many people think 'quality' is Friends, Seinfeld, Everyone Loves Raymond. Fact of the matter is, television died back in the mid 90s when shows like Roseanne and Home Improvement, Cheers and Fraiser all left the air.

My wife and I love this set. It is perfect, and we didn't have to buy all the seasons separately. This saved us a lot of money. The dvd's play perfectly and it's great to see all the scenes that were cut out on broadcast television.

I loved the fact it was the whole series in a DVD box set. What I don't like is the way they have it packaged. The form does not fit the function. The discs are scratched & skipped when I played the 3rd disc from the beginning. I was trying to find out how to get in touch with the company to change the way it's packaged. I have been wanting this item for some time, they need to figure out a better way to present this!

I love that I got it for a better price than in any store and a speedy delivery. The was listed as brand new and was exactly that in its original packaging.

I really enjoy having the entire series at my fingertips. I use them on evenings when the viewing is lousy for shows that I enjoy. I find it rather challenging to navigate through the various screens to select episodes. Overall a good purchase.
