Still waiting to receive item - been almost a month and haven't gotten it yet! Since I ordered it for a friend of mine, and she's waiting for it, I would love to have it really soon.
I think a month is a long time to wait for something when you paid for it on day 1.
Warren Beatty did a cute and clever job of writing this remake of "An Affair to Remember." Annette Bening is her usual self. She struck this play boy with a gotcha right off the bat. A little self deprecation on his part along with his proposal telling her to "tell him to get his life in order and get himself a job of his own" was a scripted zinger. I had great respect for this "ageing playboy." He knew his track record but he wanted a chance to prove himself. Katharine Hepburn was a sketch and fun to watch. The scenery was beautiful. It was a fun watch and a tear jerker just like the origional. Warren Beatty is my generation a tad younger but a heart throb none the less. He has sewn all his wild oats and found his true purpose with his wife plus four. Love Affair is just the tip of the iceberg. It isn't difficult to understand why a 12 year old movie grabs your heart strings when you have such a terrific cast. Timeless is the best adjective I can come up with. Enjoy!!
I like the DVD I bought because the quality is very good. I bought it because it is a movie I like and ususally watch it when it's on TV, but now I can watch it whenever I want.
Just simply a beautifully made, classy movie, that takes my breath away everytime I watch it. It is one of my favorites, and I watch it a couple of times a month.I know when watching it that the stars were falling in love during the making of it, and that adds to it's romantic allure.
