Love Actually (2004, DVD)

I bought this item because it is one of my favorite movies :) I am very happy with what I recieved except that it didn't come with a case. Other than that it's great!

I love this movie! Hugh Grant is one of my all time favorites and he shines in this movie along with a star studded cast. This movie is definitely a chick flick but a MUST SEE!!!!!

Refer to the above title and include all the basic emotions. Love, loss, heartahe, heartbreak, hope and fullfillment. Tune in and see for yourself.

This is one of my favorite movies, though I just happen to be a bit of an Anglophile. Emma Thompson acts SO WELL in this movie! The entire cast is great, and how the stories interweave is just, well, fun. And, the music, it's great. I love all the different types of love it shows, and it is not too sappy, because not all the "love stories" work out. And, last, but not least, I love Hugh Grant.

It's a feel good love comedy. I love this movie because there is more than one story in it. I laughed, I cried, I sympathized with the charactors. There is nothing I didn't like about the movie, that's why I bought it!

i saw this movie in 2004 when it came out & absolutely loved it! it's definitely what the critics refer to as a feel-good movie. it full of laughs and poignant moments that are priceless. it is especially good when enjoyed around the christmas holiday since that is when the movie is set. it gives those of us who often fail at love a reason to keep going. highly recommend.

This was a movie DVD purchase. If you want a movie review, then I must tell you that I NEVER buy movies, but this one was so heart: warming, tugging, wrenching,felt and it's funny so I had to have it. This movie is truly a Gem. Also the amazing dislpay of talent of one young girl just blew me away. It had a dream wedding, it has relationships and in the end, it is about love, actually ;).

I was surprised to see in an interview with Hugh Grant about the time "Notting Hill" came out that Richard Curtis is considered sort of a workaday comedy writer in the UK. Curtis is that and more and "Love, Actually" might very well be his masterpiece.

"Love Actually" is a Christmas story for the 21st Century with roots deeply planted in Dickensian sentiment. If Dickens reminded us that "it is good to be children sometimes, and never better than at Christmas", Curtis' message is "it is good to love someone and be loved, and never better than at Christmas". Curtis' Christmas pudding gives us writers, actors, children, parents, brothers, sisters -- and even the Prime Minister all caught in the act of discovering that statement to be true.

The DVD product itself scores in the extras department with interview material and the music video of "The Trouble with Love" by Kelly Clarkson. I rate "Love, Actually" among my top Christmas movies (along with "It's a Wonderful Life", the Alistair Sim "A Christmas Carol" and "Comfort and Joy") and I am glad to finally own a copy.

I purchased the DVD of this movie because it's a great English Romantic Comedy.
The movie is from the filmakers who brought you Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill and Bridget Jones's Diary.

It stars many of the U.K.'s finest thespians (Hugh Grant, Bill Nigh, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Keira Knightly,& Rowan "Mr. Bean" Atkinson and even a few from across the pond (Laura Linney & Billy Bob Thorton.)

The movie follows several peoples lives during the frantic six weeks prior to the Christmas Holidays. Each persons story is different and this movie covers all the bases from Unrequited love, loss of love (death), to rekindled affections and everything in between.

The characters in this story are very different from one another and the differences between them makes for some great comedic opportunities. It's a great look at how the sexes view love and relationships in completely different ways.

Bill Nigh (Davy Jones from Pirates of the Carribbean) is a middle aged, very outspoken, straight shooting, over the hill, washed up, rock star who's glory days are long gone. His characters relationship to his Scottish Manager is a bit unorthodox and very amusing.

This is by far an excellent film but I doubt most men would appreciate it. It's a great Chick Flick and a good feel good holiday movie.

For you guys.....Shannon Elizabeth and Denise Richards have small roles as the token American eye candy.

I had really been wanting that movie because it is one of my favorite Christmas films. It came really quickly and it is new as stated.

Possibly overly sentimental and definitely wearing it's heart on its sleeve, Love Actually is entertaining if you are in the mood for a warm and fuzzy, movie that is funny and has a gorgeous cast. Bill Nighy is great in the central story of this many faceted film. Hugh Grant, although not necessarily your Prime Minister type is fun and charming (as could be expected.) Kiera Knightly is lovely eye candy and Liam Neeson and Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Colin Firth all look like they are having fun in thier own story lines. The movie has great cameos that move the story along and the film has many for sweet and hopeful moments, this is a holiday film you can watch anytime.

There was not a single scratch on it. It was very reasonably priced. I had wanted the movie for a long time, but had not been able to find it in stores.

IT IS A FEEL GOOD MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After watching a small piece of it on network tv I decided to buy the disk and avoid the commercials and chopping.

I was not dissappointed.

My best measuring stick is my wife who not only did not doze but said at the end that she would like to see it again. THIS IS A RAVE REVIEW.

The ending is the same kind of flip you get at the end of Casablanca when the policeman says "round up the usual suspects" but takes about 10 minutes or more to develop while you grit your teeth and hold on to your chair.

Love Actually is an enjoyable film that I've watched numerous times on different TV movie telecasts and decided to purchase it on DVD. It has numerous stories that depict a cross-section of people and interests comprised of the death of a child's mother, the Prime Minister of England finding love, children experiencing "puppy love", marital betrayal, porn (!)film extras falling in love, an aging Rock Star, a sister's devotion to a mentally ill brother, and more.

I actually love the fact that there really are some "life lessons" to be learned here and that the choices we make can bring great joy or great sorrow. Loved the music soundtrack and the snowy holiday theme.

What I disliked the most in the storyline was the use of the porn industry story and visuals. The couple could have easily been written in a different industry or business and still had an impact. It just amazes me how easily the "f" word flows from scripts when it's really inappropriate and does nothing to enhance the script or character who uses it...i.e. the Prime Minister's love interest uttering it several times as she comes down the stairs and is surrounded by young children. Overall though, I liked the characters and story lines.

This was a great buy! I actually bought it for my girlfriend, and had it shipped to her. As far as I know, it came quickly and with no problems. The DVD works fine with no scratches. The packaging was in the condition that the seller noted. Good seller, good product, good times.

I bought this movie, because my daughter wanted to get it for her 17 year old boyfriend. It is his favorite movie, and loves it to death.

We watched it, and personally, I thought it was just O.K. I wouldn't care if I ever saw it again.

This DVD title was something which came to my attention by chance. Some friends wanted to share it with me on a unscheduled visit to their home. The enjoyment of it was total, and it has been an intention for me to get a copy for keeping and sharing. I rather expect it will take its place among those Christmas season movies which are already shown on TV and in theaters each Christmas. A warming example of drama of the human experience on multiple emotional levels.

I love hugh grant movies. So, I decided to buy a dvd from ebay. Well the condition of this used dvd is very good. I have watched this dvd several times. Now I am lending to my sister. I will now buy used dvds from ebay

That's a movie I like very much. Each little story in this movie was so touching to the soul. That's one of the best romance moviw I've ever seen.

We loved this movie very much. The moive set is in London and showed about atleast 5-6 love pairs that what is true love in everyone's defination.

Everything is excellent in this movie. JUST PERFACT.

The movie is a song of hope in a cynical world. Love actually is, if you take the trouble. I bought if for my wife, who had been dropping broad hints. It also has a great soundtrack. It is filled with good character actors who manage to steal the scenes they are in. At times it is poignant, at other times hilarious. Buy it!
