Pros: No two songs sound alike, but with old time country flavor
Cons: One of the songs sounds too much like easy listening, rather than country.
Thanks to Artist like Patty Loveless, country is still all country. She proves you can churn out great COUNTRY hits in the 90's and still hit the charts. She is not ashamed to be ALL country. No need or desire for crossing-over to other music charts. Topping the country charts is all she does and wants to do. Songs and My Thoughts on Each: 1) The Party Ain't Over Yet She starts the CD out letting us know that she don't mess around. Pros: Great music. Easy listening and energetic.
Cons: None!
I have had this cd sitting around, wrapped in its original packaging, for about two years now! This morning, I finally opened it, and I'm so sorry I waited. What a terrific album! Patty Loveless is a talented singer who covers the typical country sound gamut, and I guess that's why it appeals to me so much. :) I like "The Party Ain't Over Yet" because in it, she says the devil can do his worst, but she won't give up on life. It's a fast-paced start to this collection. I'm not too crazy about "Like Water Into Wine", but the music is pretty in that song. "That's Exactly What I Mean" has a fun,.
