Great characters and supporting acting is excellent. Amazing special effects. Stunts are incredible but still make an effort to remain within the laws of physics.

This movie may tie the first one in the series for the best! This is an awesome action flick to add to the any collection. If you have a home theater system connected to your Blu-ray player then this movie will rock your stuff off the walls! It is trully an experience.
Bruce Willis keeps your laughing while waiting for the next action sequence to happen. Side-kicked by Justin Long (from the movie ACCEPTED) Willis is entertaining till the very end.

Granted, the movie is definately popcorn entertainment, but the gunfire, explosions, car chases, and other ridiculously awesome action looks BEAUTIFUL on Blu-Ray.
Blu-Ray really is the format of the future, and Live Free or Die Hard is an excellent example of the crisp picture and sound possible with Blu.
As for the film itself, it is just as entertaining as the original Die Hard. Bruce Willis is still a superb action hero.

It may be hard to list this as the best movie of the series, but can you really single one movie out as the best? I can't. The Die Hard series is one of the best series of all time. One thing I can honestly say is that this movie has the most hardcore stunts of the series, which is saying alot considering what the series has brought you in the past. AWSOME MOVIE, must watch in true HD.

Great Movie!One of the best movies of the last two years! Plenty of action, great story line and amazing acting. In addition, the special effects are outstanding and the supporting information is accurate. To watch this movie on blu-ray is a great addition to the experience and makes an impression that will surely last beyond the two-hour run time. I would, without any doubt, recommend this movie to all who enjoy features with abundant suspense, especially those who possess some sort of high-definition capabilities.

Live Free Or Die HardLoved it! We did not think that after the other Die Hard's that this one would be any good. It was a whole new twist on the Die Hard's. Usually that will make us not like a movie when the story line does not follow in suit, but for this sequel, it was refreshing. We are glad we bought it and added it to our collection.

Live Free or Die HardThere were some good action scenes but overall movie was pretty predicable. There were some real slow parts and it didn't really flow. Bruce is getting old and not really his cup of tea anymore.

Great Action MovieA great Die Hard film, with lots of action. Only dissapointment is that the film is rated PG-13, so many things are censored. The Blu Ray provides excellent video and audio, and a ton of extras.

I viewed it in the theatre. It's one of those movies that you must see on the big screen. Then I viewed it with my home theater with a regular DVD. Something was missing. I bought it in Bluray and although the film still screams for a theatre setting, my 60 inch high def surround sound theater did a really good job with the blueray making all the difference.

Video & Sound quality on this blu-ray were excellent. There are extras but I found them to be lame at best. That is the best extras you can come up with on a franchise movie?! Very disapointing. The language is foul from start to finish, even for a Die Hard action movie it gets to be too much. The stunts are awesome, the movie could have used a better script writer.
My advice - rent it if you want to see it on blu-ray or pick-up the regular DVD, not worth the blu-ray price.

Live Free or Die Hard', number IV in the 'Die Hard' series revisits the basic outline of the first film only in a much more grandiose stlye expanding beyond the confines of one high rise building to encompass the entire eastern seaboard. Bruce Willis reprises his signature role as police detective John McClane and does a fantastic job breathing new life into this now iconic character.
Following in the footsteps of another iconic prototype established in the first film, Timothy Olyphant does a superior job as the Alan Rickman-ish, highly intelligent villian as does Justin Long as computer hacker/sidekick to Detective McClane.. Then of course lets not forget the enchanting Maggie Q, sigh...
The action is fast and furious, the cast excellent and the dialogue witty especially Justin Longs lines). The only thing keeping this film from a five star rating is the sequence with the jet fighter which was a little too unbelievable for me.
