Very bad router. Always needed to be reset with our Vista system. Couldn't get it to work right so just ended up throwing it in the trash. Frustrating waste of money.

Be aware that this router does an automatic firmware update. If you unplug the power during firmware update you will brick the router or the voice part. The folowing scenario could happen: You have this router for a long time but for some reason (like upgraded to wireless) you keep it in your closet. One day when you clean your closet you find it and decide to sell it on eBay. Before listing it you perform a quick test to see if it still works. You connect it to the PC and to the modem and see if you have internet on the PC. Since last time you use it there is a new firmware and the router start the automatic update. Unaware of that and happy that is working you unplug the power to take a picture, unaware that you have corupted the router's EPROM by unpluging the power during a firmware update and that you will get in trouble with the buyer (who will receive a defective router). So before you unplug the power wait for a while until there is no activity - no LED blinking.

The cost was cheap and Linksys tech support help me get it set up quick. I didn't need a wireless one and went with wired and this one works great. I haven't had any problems when the Ps2 and computer are going at the same time. Would reccomend this item.

Wired routers are a must have for someone forming a home network. Sure, wireless routers are very convenient and don't need cables to restrict them, but wired routers are far more effective for me. This is because when wireless is available people tend to take advantage of it, lowering your speed. On a wired connection someone can only be connected if they are near the router. Also wired routers tend to be more reliable and cheaper than wireless.

This is one of the best routers for an incredibly low price. Router is easy to install. Small compact design let's it fit into small spaces. It can also be mounted to a wall or the back of your desk (out of sight).

I very happy with my router...work great...I receipt the item very clean with all the components... like new, also just take a few days to get it by mail and the price was great too.
