Unless you are writing a made for TV movie this book is not very good. It looks good , protect out children from evil, but it rests on thin ice. A simple search on the internet will prove that some of the facts of this book are wrong, most based on ”repressed memories” of children. These facts now do not stand up as the truth and may be regarded as dangerous. One test you can always use to judge the facts for yourself is to ask, “Where are the people now?” Where is Johanna Michaelsen now? Has she written anything relevant in the past 2 or 3 years? Who knows where she is. But I do know she has not written anything since the start of the internet age, a sure clue that checking into the facts by computer would find them very lacking. Check things out for your self and don’t buy into paranoia. Faith is strongest when based on facts, not fear.
This is a very interesting book written by former new ager Johanna Michaelsen. She shows the dangers in spirit guides, guided imagery and visualization. She also gives information on storybooks on witchcraft and the occult that can be dangerous to innocent children. Most Americans have no idea of the extent to which the New Age occult evangelists have infiltrated our public school systems, the media, books, films, toys and games, and even cartoons. She not only unveils this, but documents it as well.
Most importantly, Johanna, drawing upon her own unique understanding of the occult, spells out how to help children (or adults) who have fallen prey to these seductive philosophies.
