Lindsay Lohan, as a young girl, not yet a full blown teenager, who looses her mother, after an un-diagnosed medical problem. Sees her Father, lonely and buried in his work. He needs his Loving wife and mother to his daughter. A lawyer, who after a year, bury's himself into his work. His daughter orders a mail order book on-line to help bring his wife back, and uses a star doll, a substitute, bought by Dru his friend at work for his daughter. Lindsay uses the spell on the doll, and the doll comes to life. Tyra Banks, is the doll.
Perfect in everyway, except being human. She loves to shop...does not understand human feelings or needs of companionship yet. Lindsay in the meantime, is slowly growing close to Eve (tyra banks) and eve is slowly learning to become real, and to find her niche in the real world. Dru becomes jealous of Eve. Lindsay and her father slowly close the bonds of child and daughter once again.
A great family movie, a must have for those that are sentimental for other people, and want to escape the cares and go back to childhood of innocence.
Tyra banks is known for several things, including a part in Halloween where she is a victim of Michael Myers, but she really surpaces herself in this film,
as a doll blown up into human form, trying to understand what and why's of being human. With all the innocence of an infant.
