The 1997 album "Let Me In" is the third release from Chely Wright. This was the first Chely album I owned, and at the time I thought it was her debut until I learned differently. This album is great, and shows a change not only in the songs Chely sings, but also in her vocal delivery. This album seems to be the evolution from Chely from combining modern and old country sounds, into the full blown modern sound which she presents beautifully. Chely Wright has a unique voice, and I think that s what makes her albums interesting to listen to. In an industry where a lot of new artists sound so similar to each other, it s important to remain an individual. This album has a lot of country influence on it, without being overwhelmed with fiddles or ditty songs. 1. Your Woman Misses Her Man Great opener, the music gets your attention. 2. Let Me In This is a slow song about a typical subject. Not that interesting and the chorus is a bit whiney. 3. Shut Up and Drive This is the best and most original song on the album.
