I watched this movie when it first came out in 2005. I loved it then. I really enjoyed Tim Curry's performance. I loved him as the bad guy. I bought this for my children. I thought they might enjoy it because I had loved it so much. I was right. They are quickly wearing out the DVD. I would recommend this movie for anyone with children over 6. They may be frightened if they are younger than that. It is also great for adults.

wonderful movielike, UNICORNS, fantasy, good & evil? this is the film for you. great love story on two sides, human & unicorn, good wins. what i didn't like, i thought this film had the tangerine dream score but it didn't seller didn't mention that..other then that great low price.

I actually bought this movie for my grandaughter. She loves it, and the rest of the family enjoys it also. It's got everything in it, if you like faries, elves, and more. One of Tom's early movies. Good one!

This is an older movie, but great. Something you can watch over and over again. Tom is a great in this movie. Its a bit dark, but you will like it. A movie you want to keep around. The fact that is is a bit older kind of kills the fact that there are not a lot of extras on the dvd.

Great older movie!! Tom Cruise could actually act, but what happened to the girl. I don't know of any other movies she has been in. Since this movie was made before Lord of the , props to the costumes, because they appear again in many other movies.

thi movie has the most extrodinary photograhy, it is is great , and the costumes are very cool as well, and sets,add to the enchantment ,, this is a early tom cruise movie for all yo tom fans out there, great story is in mideviel times , for the fantasy buffs out there, good verves evil, and the light against the dark, you know what i mean, the charactors are fun and believeable, it is just quite beautiful to watch,perhaps there are a few scary scences fo rally young children, it has become one of my favorite fantasy flims

I showed this movie to a niece "years" ago... long before DVD's, and she remembered it and in wanting it for Christmas I was able to find it on DVD with Ebay and at a reasonable price.

Legend is a classic the never dies. Enjoyed watching now as much as I did as a child. Be aware however, that parts of the film can be scary and much of the movie is dark. Very beautiful and touching story.

I THOUGHT I WAS OBTAINING THE ORIGINAL LEGEND MOVIE, I RECIEVED THE DIRECTORS CUT, WITH THE ORIGINAL DVD MOVIE LEFT OUT OF PACKAGE. THE DIRECTORS CUT IS OKAY IF THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT TO WATCH, IT DID NOT HAVE THE MOVIES ORIGINAL MUSIC IN IT, AND THAT MADE IT LESS ENJOYABLE TO ME, BECAUSE THE NOSTALGIA OF THE ORIGINAL MUSIC IS WHAT HELPED MAKE THE "MOVIE" SO GREAT FOR US. Legend stars Tom Cruise and Tim Curry. This movie is filled with magic and wonder. If you love fantasy, fairies or unicorns, you may like this movie. If you like goblins, elves, or demons you may also like this movie. This is a love story that is also filled with comedy, drama, and action. 5 stars!

I love this movie so much. This movie was a childhood favorite and a favorite of my mothers. I decided to buy this movie because the recent copy of the vhs legend my mother had had broke. I could not go on without this movie.

I remember watching this movie with my kids...We all loved it! I am an "empty nester" now and wanted to relive that wonderful feeling I had when my kids were younger.The movie is true to the description. I guess I just wasn't looking at the part that said it was a director's cut.Therefore, the music and some scenes were different.I still like the movie,it's just a bit different.

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE FANTASY MOVIES FROM THE 80'S. WITH THIS IN MIND SOME OF THE SPECIAL EFFECTS ARE A LITTLE DOPEY BUT I STILL LOVE THEM. I WATCHED THIS MOVIE COUNTLESS TIMES AS A LITTLE GIRL SO I GUESS I BOUGHT THIS MOVIE MORE FOR NOSTALGIC REASONS THAN ANYTHING ELSE. i like the service i recieved when ordering the movies and i liked that since i brought more than one movie they gave a discount on shipping. the shipping was fast and secure when i recived my merchandise it all was brand new and sealed in original wrapping no banged up boxes or cases and the DVD's where where they were supposed to be not in the box rattling around. so i would recommed ordering from them if thinking about it it was safe and secure.

I loved this movie when I was younger and I bought it to share with my kids. The animation and graphics are UNBELIEVEABLE!!!! If you are a fantasy/sci-fi freak you would love it. It has fairies, trolls, and unicorns and if you like that kind of stuff, don't miss this movie. It may no be Oscar material but it's very good. I think I would put it in the same class as The Neverending Story. It has a great cast of characters and the story line was well thought out. I know some people didn't "get it" but to me it was a very easy story line to follow. Very beautiful movie! P.S. Jack and Lily (the main characters) were inspiration for the naming of Johnny Depp's children, Jack and Lily!

If you love fantasy you will really love this movie! Great for the whole family! The props, scenery and costumes are beautiful! The story line could make it a "chick flick" but it has enough darkness to appeal to the guys; and the teens. There's romance, lost love, friendship, adventure, close calls, jealousy, temptation, faith, the Devil himself and of course the Unicorn! And let's not forget a young Tom Cruise! Very young children may not enjoy it as much as the 7+, but I didn't see anything I wouldn't let my children watch. One of my favorite movies!

I find it telling of how good a director is, by the subtle elements hidden in the scenery of the movie.
Ridley Scott is such a director. He also uses Macs. He always assembles magnificent set designers, costumers, and make up artists.
The scenery in his movies are memorable and will fill your dreams from the first time you see them.
Scott brought us Gladiator ... which contained incredible acting and introduced us to incredible actors. He brought us Aliens ... which was essentially a launchpad for artist HR Giger and new stylistic way of presenting modern horror.
He also brought us the geek favorite ... Blade Runner ... another movie with incredible imagery.

I'm not a big Tom Cruise fan ... but every now and then he's in a great movie.
The Mission Impossible movies are decent, Minority Report is in my Top 10 ... and then there's this movie.
It's hard for me to get past the fact that he is a scientologist ... because frankly ... it's just weird.

It is a little dark, but the imagery is incredible. It may be one of the best stylized films ever produced.
