Great - Gets you hooked!

What if everything written in the Bible is true and you've never accepted that truth? This is the beginning in a series that explores, based on the Book of Revelation in the Bible, what happens when earth, as we know it, begins to end. Great characters, intense story lines, extremely well written. You won't want to put it down, and when you do, you'll run out for the next book in the series.

Left Behind, is the first book in a series of eleven (11) books by Dr. Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. The series is a fictional work based on the prophecy of the book of Revelations. I highly recommend this book for anyone, regardless of religious preference. No Just for the Overly religious, in this series you will find something that touches you.
Left Behind is well written and a fast read. You won't be able to put it down. When you finish the first you will be reaching for the second within minutes.
I started reading the series at about the point of the release of the fifth book. I was quickly 'hooked' I was able to read those first five books in quick succession and then wham. I had to wait what seemed an eternity for the next book.
I highly recommend this book to all.

Left BehindGreat book, with plenty of action to keep you reading. After reading Left Behind I HAD to order the other books in the series. Keep in mind that it is fiction. The authors Lahaye and Jenkins do a great job of story telling!

I would love to offer you a review of this book - HOWEVER, the seller of this and two other items became a 'NOT A REGISTERED USER' very soon after listing/selling them - and I paid for them, but never received them. Buyer beware of this recent issue happening - sellers become 'unregistered' after you win/pay for/never receive the items...only to find you out of money and never getting resolution for refunds or helpful answers as to what to do next!

Realizing that these would be used books they were in very good shape. The seller was prompt in sending them and we were very satisfied with the books. I think that when selling it is important to represent the item in honesty. This seller did this, and I complement him.I have found that all of my purchases on ebay have been very positive, as well as my selling experience. It is the story of the later days on earth , during and after the rapture. This book is such a eye opening revelation to all who read it. You really think about the what if? Well, the what if, is about to happen and all beleivers should be ready. This book will help you get to that position. I think everyohe, beleivers in Jesus or not will really begin to think where they are going to be when this happens. Because it surely will. Praise the Lord.

The authors did an EXCELLENT job with the entire collection! I found it hard to put down; within the first few sentences, I was hooked. I've been borrowing them from a co-worker and after I told my adult daughter how much I enjoyed reading them (I'm not much of a reader), she expressed an interest in reading them as well, so I bought her the first one (Left Behind) for a Christmas present. I also bought my 13 year old son the "kids" collection and I've never seen him so anxious to read a book before. I definitely recommend this book and all of the consecutive books in the collection.

The series of books, 15 in all, Left Behind is such a modern realistic feeling of the depiction of the coming again of Christ and the issues with the anti-Christ. It is very descriptive of how it might be in our time and very detailed. It can be a variable roller coaster ride of emotion. It at times can be a bit disturbing. Even if you are not a believer, the story can be very intoxicating. I had to take breaks at times, to absorb everything I had just read, but at the same time curious and intrigued to get back to know more. It was amazing at how detailed the depictions of Revelations could be by the two authors, as they see it, and even though it was a fictional story, with biblical facts, it really gave me a better understanding of the end. And to be able to see it happening in our time, not in time past. It made it more a reality to me. Many times while reading, I would be so engrossed that I would forget that this was not really happening at that moment. If you are an avid reader and have not had the opportunity to read these books, I recommend them so highly!!!! You can also download them to mp3, which I did with a few of the books to listen to when I was busy and couldn't stop to read. There was not much of anything that I found of dislike to these books, except maybe the disturbing horror of it all, but could not have been written without it. It has many beautiful things in it also. It is really worth taking the time to read!!!!

The only thing good about coming to a series later rather than sooner is that once you really "get into reading them" you can just read the whole series at once! That is what I have done. I had heard about this series of books for several years, but had put off reading them. Then my sister got into reading them and telling me a little about them. I started reading them myself and that was the start! I am systematically going thru the entire system and the beauty of this is that I don't have to wait on the next book----it's already written! That is until I get to the last one! Reading this series has brought me to two decisions. The first is that I definitely want to be a part of the Rapture and secondly, I do NOT want to be left behind and go thru the tribulation! Obeying God now is definitely the better way to go! And obedience is not hard--according to the Bible and these books---it's so easy! All the books point out several books in the Bible to read and find out what to do. I would recommend that you think about doing it and would recommend also reading this series of books. They are "real eye openers"!

I had recently heard the authors speaking on the radio about their final book in this series, just coming out for distribution. I had not heard about the series at all. They explained the subject line being about the Rapture. Curiosity got me and I purchased this book. What a wonderful series! The characters truly come to life and seem to become dear friends. The story line is compelling, and it is very hard to put the book down. As I neared the last page, I knew that the lives and their purpose would continue on as soon as I got book 2. And so it did. I plan to keep up with these story friends all the way til the last page of book 13. This is exciting Christian writing, lots of action with lots of the Word. I hope you might enjoy this series as much as I am.

? No there is nothing wrong with the Left Behind Series..The creators have brought up a new generation of young readers.And Adults reading all over again. Because this series is so good it reminds you of when you actually read a good book Tom Sawyer,or Where the Wild Things Are,or the Suspense Books you read when you were in Highschool perhaps?..Well anyway I hope since this is there last LB book Kingdom Come: That they continued with the movies..

I've just started this series after hearing about it for years (?). This book is a very accurate telling of what will happen immediately after the Rapture. A lot of people are going to be surprised at being left behind - but these will be the ones who come to Christ FIRST and who will preach to the ones who have never heard or never listened, so PRAY for them in advance of the event. This is an awfully scary series as it is based on TRUE events. I have found new insight into the book of Revelations as this is a story form and explains some of the hard to explain events that happen in the Bible or lets you see a possible modern day happening of what is described in the book. I recommend this book mostly for non-believers. All believers out there should purchase copies of this book for their lost loved ones and friends. I am passing on my copy to my sisters then on to other friends. Fortunately they are saved and we will all be spared the tribulation, but it is nice to know that those left behind (or at least those who are not killed in planes/wrecks/etc.) will have a SECOND CHANCE - I think that would have been a good name for the second novel! I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I pray that everyone who reads this review will read the book with an open mind, then go to the Bible and see that it is true. It is my profound hope that this wonderful series leads MANY, MANY people to Christ. I pray that everyone who reads the book will be moved to salvation if they are not already saved. Pray for the lost to read this book!
