) We recently went on Vacation to Ohio this year, and I purchased the Leapfrog storybook factory on ebay. GLAD I DID, my 3 yr old loved it. kept him amused at the campground. Now he even watches it at home.

Another great one from LeapfrogWe have most of the Leapfrog DVD's and toys, my daughter who is 6 loves them all from the time she could speak she would ask to watch her A B C's (letter factory). I was very excited when I found the story book factory, again she just loves it. I don't think it has been out of the DVD player since it arrived. And it's not something that will drive the parents crazy after they have watched it for the millionth time:) If your kids like the letter factory, and the talking word factory you will love the story book factory.

) As a retired Reading teacher I am a proponent of this LeapFrog series of DVDs. There are 3 other DVDs that emphasize phonics. This one puts all the sounds together in a familiar story - The Three Little Pigs. They are all excellent!

I have the whole set of dvds and they are wonderful my son started reading words after only watching these a few times! I have him pick one everyday to watch and it is amazing how fast he picked it up!!!

My children loved this video, but it was only a so-so teaching tool. Good for a kick-off to a reading lesson, but not something to be depended upon for great comprehension. It focused a little too much on the "magic" and not enough on the mechanics of reading.
