I Get Too Hungry For Dinner At Eight
Review created: 08/13/02

Pros:
Perhaps the best Hollywood kiss ever.
Cons:
Some rather dated attitudes.
I've settled back into life at Chateau Maine. It hasn't been easy. Doreen and Herbert Scrawcrunch left the house in a truly disastrous state: Mounds of rotting garbage in the gourmet kitchen, half the ormolu and gold leaf broken off the trim in my beloved Topkapi Palace themed home theater, large quantities of fine MNM consumer products practically destroyed by mishandling and improper care. Doreen put a large number of pieces of VickiWear, all ready for shipping, into the drier and the resultant shrinkage has left them unwearable. I have a phone call into Mattel to see if they might be...

This movie made me hate siamese cats
Review created: 02/28/06

Pros:
One of the great Disney classics of all time.
Cons:
Those horrible, horrible, Siamese cats.
My fiancee just got the new Platinum Edition DVD of Lady and the Tramp, because of course we have to get it quick before Disney locks it back in the vault, which is a practice I find borderline criminal. But enough of that rant, I'm going to get into the movie. I watched this movie tonight for the first time in years. I think the last time I watched it was at school in second grade, so I wasn't exactly sure if the story would hold up over time. I find that it still does. Lady and the Tramp is the story of a pampered dog named Lady who meets a dog from the other end of the social spectrum. He..

An Old Dog Can Learn a New Trick
Review created: 05/10/00
by: bilbopooh -- a member of Epinions
Pros:
wonderful story
Cons:
Siamese song may be considered offensive
All right, so Tramp isn't exactly old. But he is an established troublemaker and heartbreaker. Hence his name. Lady, on the other hand, is just that. A well-mannered cocker spaniel living in style with her doting owners, "Jim Dear" and "Darling." The opening sequence which shows her as a puppy is adorable but all too short, as Disney uses in this movie the time-honored tactic of making a character grow up in five minutes. Now an adult, Lady is the proud owner of a brand new collar and license. She is happy as can be until one day she notices Jim Dear and Darling acting strangely. She...

Lady And the Tramp: Great Love Story That Should Have Never Happened
Review created: 02/06/01
by: sweetcece -- a member of Epinions
Pros:
The dog characters, Jim Dear, and Darling are charming.
Cons:
The cats are portrayed as negative images.
Lady and The Tramp is an endearing love story between two unlikely characters, a lady dog of comfort and a stray dog -- a tramp. From the beginning, it is quite apparent that had circumstances been played out in a completely loving environment, Lady and the Tramp would have never met. Lady is owned by a couple who has had a baby recently after her arrival and is well cared for and loved. The only reason why she meets Tramp in the first place is that Lady is abused by a baby sitter who comes to take care of the baby in the absence of Lady's owners. (referred to in the movie as Jim Dear and...

A dog gone good Disney classic
Review created: 11/30/06
by: tommy_lop -- a member of Epinions
Pros:
a good disney movie telling the life of the dog
Cons:
Not many extras on the first disc, do we really need more Disney personality tests.
I got Lady in the Tramp a couple of months ago when I saw it at wal-mart and decided to pick it up, I remember watching it a few times as a kid and decided might as well pick it up while it s on limited release. The movie is an Walt Disney movie from back in the 1950 s and like all good Disney movies despite its age it s still very entertaining. Story. The story follows a cocker spaniel named Lady has her misadventures through family life of having a human baby born to her humans, and of course falling in love with the tramp. The movie begins with her as a puppy and her easily wrapping...
