Ladder 49 (2005, DVD)

It is one of my all time FAVORITE movies. I couldn't find it in ANY store here. So......I decided to look 4 it on ebay. I absolutely love the movie. Its a great fire fighter movie. Funny, sad, and romantic all at the same time!!!

The best suspensful and thrilling on the seat realistic heartwarming movie and superior acting! John Travolta plays in the most dramatic realistic movie ever.

i love movie can't stop watching it. i decide to buy it because i couldn't find it no where else. it was fast quick and easy. didn't have to wait to long for it. and absoultley no scratches or skips in the movie

Awesome movie...Hottie John Travolta comes out! I'm a dvd addict, if I've seen the movie once and loved it I MUST own it! There are some tear jerker scenes in the movie, but overall very good movie! Worth buying and I'm sure you'll see it over and over!

This movie was great. Maybe not as good as backdraft but diffenitly more factual.
Under the watchful eye of his mentor Captain Mike Kennedy (Travolta), probationary firefighter Jack Morrison (Phoenix) matures into a seasoned veteran at a Baltimore fire station. Jack has reached a crossroads, however, as the sacrifices he's made have put him in harm's way innumerable times and significantly impacted his relationship with his wife and kids. Responding to the worst blaze in his career, he becomes trapped inside a 20-story building. And as he reflects on his life, now Assistant Chief Kennedy frantically coordinates the effort to save him.

Great movie! Really enjoyed it! Heard about movie from a friend and decided it was cheaper to buy off Ebay than rent.

I chose to purchase Ladder 49 because my husband is a volunteer Fire Fighter. We also enjoy purchasing movies that the entire family can watch, and this is one! We rented this movie several times and I saw it on ebay and decided to bid, and I won! Bigskydvd is an excellent seller to use!

If you havent seen Ladder 49 then why wait? Watch it today you will be happy you did. It's not one of those movies you can only watch once. You can watch this movie over and over and it's as excitting every time. My family and I LOVE it!!!!!!!!! Get it today I promous you'll love it too.

now one of my favorites. It was better than backdraft and fairly realistic. I am a firefighter so i appreciated the accuracy. A must see.

My eleven year old granddaughter loves the movie and wanted a copy. The copy arrived in perfect conditon and shipped very fast by the seller.

This movie gives you a wide range of emotions. Action, comedy in parts, actually makes you cry. Great great movie.It's a need to see movie.

I really like this movie because it helps me to remember the sacrifices our men and women take to provide firefighting/rescue services to us. It also helps me to remember 9/11. I decided to buy it not only because it was being offered at a great price, but that I wanted to add it to my movie library. Overall, a great movie that I would recommend for anyone to purchase.

I love this movie. It has a variety of emotionals and it's inspiring at the same time. I highly recommend it.

This movie really showed the workings of a firehouse and how close the firemen are. Joaquin Phoenix was fantastic and really made you feel what was going on. You became attached to each guy and what they were feeling and thinking and you easily went along for the ride. Don't know how they do it, but understand a little more why they do it. There wasn't anything I didn't like but I wanted to change the ending even tho I knew it had to end the way it did. Enjoy.

I really enjoyed this film and was quite shocked that it recieved such bad reviews from the critics. This movie was a little slow starting but after the initial fifteen to twenty minutes..it takes you away to another world and inside the daily life of a fire fighter. What I loved about this film is not only was it a compelling story of bravery, love of family as well as concern for others but it takes the viewer into the firehouse and portrays a typical day in the life of a firefighter. Joaquinn Phoenix and John Travolta act well together and give believable performances and the director guides the audience through the trials and tribulations of fire fighters quite effectively using the familiar flashback story telling method. Overall, I was very pleased with the presentation of this movie. The actors were able to effectively form a bond with the audience so that all the emotions seem genuine. This movie gives you a new respect and appreciation for firefighters and thier families.

Good movie serious subject matter,good effects,and humor all in one movie.Bought because of the great price.

A firefighter is trapped in a burning building awaiting his rescue by his fellow firefighters. As he awaits his rescue, he has flashbacks on his past with his friends and family.

My husband is a federal firefighter, he's always wanted to be a firefighter so he wants to to collect all the firefighter movies. We both like this one very much even though it touches close to home.

I loved this movie first of all because John Travolta is in it. haha
Second of all i liked it because it was well set up.
I rented this movie and fell in love with it. Thats the reason why I'm looking to buy it on ebay.
