LG VX8600 (Verizon Wireless)

lightweight great phone with LG's friendly user interface as expected. smaller and thinner than the RZAR and more features. MP3, bluetooth, 1.3MP camera/video, speakerphone,included headphones. sleek and stylih w/ a beautiful gloss black faceplate and exterior accented with chrome. the MP3 controls are neat being under the faceplate and shine thru with the backlight when activated and also can be used to read text messages on the front LCD. ringtones/MP3s sound great also clear and loud for a cell and are played thru both the earpiece and the speakerphone on the outside of the phone unless using the MP3 earbuds of course. only con i found is it seems most phones now are going to the internal antenna which doesn't help with reception/signal if you live in the sticks. other than that GREAT phone!

Got phone for my daughter who had one before but the hinge on the phone broke, even in a protected case, phone was not dropped....maybe a flaw in the design??? She really liked the phones features, sleek design and size, plus she already had a car charger and wall charger. Phone purchased in excellent condition and was purchased for a great price since plan on phone was not available for upgrade.

It has all the features of the chocolate in a convenient flip design. it looks great and works great. very nice device.

The phone I purchased randomly stopped working after three or four days. It wouldn't stay powered on and Verizon said it was because of the manufacturing work that the reseller had worked on it. However, I did not report it back, I was taking a chance buying from a seller on EBay and I didn't want to report it only to get another phone that would stop working again. I just purchased a new phone from Verizon for full price.

This phone has the perks that make it a great cell phone to me. The phone was new. That is what I was looking for. This seller was GREAT to do business with. The phone was just what the seller said it was. This was a GREAT BUY for me. You made my day when I received the phone and it was just as You said, NEW IN THE BOX and that was just what is was. I bought my first VX8600 through Verizon almost a year ago and it finally did fall apart but I literally put that phone through Hell! Hundreds of times I have whipped it out of my pocket (where it fit perfectly) and because of its sleekness would fly right out of my hand slamming into the wall or floor. Its gone flying across the seat of my truck and slammed into the door countless times, I have left it in the snow overnight in below zero temps(pulling the battery off and setting it in front of a blowdryer for a couple of hours worked great), sitting in a ditch on the roadside for over 8 hours, and was used as a toy by my 3 yr old son. After months of dropping the poor thing it finally did crack at the hinge and a big chunk of plastic broke off, but still held for a month or more, eventually breaking completely in half. Since it broke apart a month and a half ago, I tried a brand new Motorola Razr which quit working after 2 weeks of use, and now been using an old Samsung of a friend's, which is agonizingly slow at texting, until I get my new VX8600. My old VX8600 didn't have quite as strong of a signal as some people's phone's but not enough of a difference for me to care, especially when you consider the useability of the rest of the phone. Battery life was good, I have no complaints. I can't wait to get my new one! I just wish there was a way to get info off of my old phone??

At first the phone worked fine. The touch screen did not work when I received the phone, but that wasn't an important detail to me. After a couple weeks, the phone stopped working correctly. It currently shuts off and back on whenever it feels like doing so. Most of the time when you receive a message and you go to look at it, the phone turns off mid text. A lot of the time when I am receiving a phone call, when I flip the phone open to answer, the phone often shuts off. This is not good when you are expecting job offers and the employer feels that you hung up on them. I don't have caller ID for some reason, so I can't call people back when this happens. Overall, this phone has become one of the biggest mistakes I have made in the past few months. I wish I had never bought it. The $114 dollars that it took to get this phone could have gotten me one that actually worked and saved me a lot of hassle when it stopped working.

I decides to buy the phone because i needed one desperately. When i had received the phone i was okay with it, besides the fact that it was completely flimsy. But i decided to work with and thought nothing of it. A few days later after getting the phone a little black piece fell off where the crack (which was in the description) was and wouldn't go back on. I left it alone and thought nothing of it again. A week after getting my phone another piece fell off and after trying to put it back on a little metal piece also came out and my phone's screen went completely white. I could dial out but i couldn't see whom i was calling. Then a few minutes later my phone just broke in half, the buttons and the screen is what i have left of it. It's not usable at all.

I had previously owned this same model of phone and liked it so much, I wanted another one exactly like it. I could not be happier with this replacement. The telephone is so simple and logical to operate. Thanks EBay.

This is a very think phone, it has many features of the higher priced phones but is cheaper. I would suggest to anyone looking for a attractive yet filled phone!

When i got this phone right off the bat the servise was horrible. Every where i go i got the least amount of bars. The battery sucked. After two weeks the flip screen wouldnt even stay up. you had to hold it there. over all this phone sucks and dont buy it please!!! if you do your an idiot

The only thing good about verizon is there phone sevice and signals.. Thats it I dont like the fact that the phones are weakk thats all........

I love this camera cell phone, it is very thin, classy looking, and has wonderful reception. This is a replacement for the LG VX8600 I had before, but my husband used it and broke the front screen, I had to get one just like it. It takes great pictures, has a large screen inside and out. Why they discontinued these I do not know, they are a really great phone. There isn't anything I dislike about it.

With the ability to download music; Bluetooth capabilities; a 1.3-megapixel camera and camcorder; and a microSD port - all packaged within a sleek, lightweight design, this is by far the best phone I’ve owned!

The external music keys allow for easy access to your music and MP3 files and the sound quality is great for such a small speaker. It was very easy to download music to the phone through VCAST or through my computer.

For such a slim phone, I was very impressed by how long the battery lasts. I only have to charge it every couple of days.

Overall, I think this is a great phone and would recommend it!

I really liked this phone in every aspect but two, and that is why I gave this phone a below average rating. First, without notice, your MP3 player will activate and start playing music when you do not want it to (whether your phone is on silent or not). This is rather annoying when you are in class or in meeting. Second, the charge port on the device is defective. My phone was great until it refused to charge one day. Come to find out, the entire phone could not be fixed by LG and considered a defect in the craftmanship. However, I have heard this same complaint from other people who own this phone. I have not noticed that a battery-only charger is an option, but the phone would still be good if you didn't need to use the charge port ON the phone to charge it.

It's a solid phone with good software that will hold up for a while. It has a nice form factor and will easily slide in a pocket. Great phone overall!

I love this phone! I like how you can view your text messages and pix messages without even opening it. The speaker on the phone isn't that loud tho but I still love it. I like the way the key pad feels when you are texting. I decided to buy one cause I know someone who has one like this and she told me it was a great phone and I would absolutely fall in love with it and I did on the first day.

I love this phone... and that I can use a data cable with it... the only major draw back.... when the battery is running low... it has no feature (unless mine isn't working).... to alert you by beeps or any other tones...

I absolutely love the fact that I can't change the sounds or volumes by the side buttons!! Main reason I chose this phone over the razor!

The other minor draw backs... it doesn't have the ability to leave the back light or any light on all the time.... I think the longest is 20 seconds... I guess this is to save battery power... and that's the another draw back.. if you want to play around with the other features.... get the extended battery pack... which of course then takes away from the compact size which I love... It all depends on what is important to you!

I've had the vx8600 for about 9 months now, and it's one thing after another. First, the camera became intermittent meaning I could use it about every other time I wanted to. It would either work perfectly or just be a scratchy screen with no picture. It's been happening more often lately. Then, whenever the vibrate function was engaged and I got a call, the phone would turn off then on. So I just disabled the vibrate all together. Recently, the "up" volume button stop working. I can adjust the ring volume in the menu, but I can no longer increase the volume while talking on the phone.

The phone itself is great. I had a Razr before I bought this one. The LG was a little bit smaller, but has a much better interface and I love the look of it. The only problem that I have run into is that the reception is terrible compared to the razr. I used to be able to talk anywhere and now I have to make sure I am in certain areas at my home and work. I've tried updating the towers but no luck. Had I known this was going to be an issue I would have stuck with my old phone. After all, I use it primarily for a phone and what good is it if I can't get reception. Other than that problem, it does have many good features like being able to store your mp3s and photos (although the internal memory only goes so far and you'll need to buy an additional memory card). Would I buy it again? Nope. (unless the reception problem is solved)
