LG VX8300 (Verizon Wireless)

Thought I was getting a good deal and when I got the phone it had be turn into Verizon that it had be stolen or lost. Seller said I bought as is? Sorry about your luck.. This is not the way I like doing Business with anyone.

VX8300 seems to be a good phone, it is easy to use, picture quality is better than I expected from a phone (have not tried video yet), sound quality is good with stereo speakers on either side of the hinge, from some forums I have read uploading mp3's to the phone may be tricky for some, I don't have my memory card (micro sd) yet but I was able to get 1 song and some ringtones into the phone via data cable without too much trouble.
I done a little research online before purchasing this phone, I was mainly looking for a phone with good reception due to the fact I live in a valley which is a bad area for cell phones.
I have owned a few verizon phones, vx3300, pantech ----, vx6000, and with all the other phones I had to go outside of my house to MAYBE get a signal out there. with this 8300 I can make calls from inside with no problem.
I have only had this phone activated for a short time and so far I am very satisfied with it.

The cell phone was everything the seller discribed. I didn't have any problems activating it. I would buy from seller again.

This is a good solid phone. Lots of options... but still very simple!! Some phones try to add so many options they become a bit complicated to use... buttons are too small to text, etc... This phone is the perfect phone . Has MP3 options, video screen savers on the main and front menus. Over all, this phone, in my opinion deserves an excellent rating.

Plays mp3's that can be transferred with a USB cable and bitpim. camera is 1.3MP with flash. phone is larger than some but very durable. highly recommended.

Great reception. Nice size. Not too small, not too big. Good battery life. Great phone for the price. The phone would be better without Verizon messing with the menu systems, but that has nothing to do with the phone.

I am extremely picky about my phones. I've had the LG 8300 for the past two years. I upgraded to "newer" and "better" phones (LG 9800, 8600, 8700, Env, 8350, 9400) but ended up returning all of them. My old LG 8300 took a serious beating and is still working as well as ever. Verizon no longer carries this model in their stores. I am getting this phone for my other line.

The phone had featues that I desired from a cell phone. I had an LG 8100 and wanted to have the VZ Navigator. This is a piece of software that is user nfriendly and is a GPS locator package in the cell phone. My son and wife were in New Symrna Beach, Fl. Sent for a walk and got lost and disureiented. My son has a later model phone with the GPS package loaded into mthe phone. In a few moments they were no longer lost or disoriented. They were home walking in a few moments without any problem. Since we all have issues with directions, I now have the same capability on my new used cell phone. My seller was not quite acurate, but the phone suits my needs 100%.

The LG VX8300 is a sleek looking flip-phone that is pretty thin and seems durable. It can fit into my pocket easily, and I don’t have to worry about hitting buttons by accident because most buttons (except for the radio controls and the camera button) are located within the flipped portion. The dark silver/grey color is different from the light silver that is so typical with today’s phones. The LCD screen on the front cover of the phone as well as the circular speakers on the flip hinges give the phone a modern and attractive look while still allowing it to be professional.

This phone is V-Cast enabled, which means that you can download and play music right on your phone. The buttons located on the outer portion of the phone - rewind, play/pause, fast forward - allow you to control the songs. Keep in mind that you must possess a Micro card in order to use this feature; a USB cable that transfers music directly from your computer will not work. In addition, recording songs and attempting to set them as ringtones doesn’t work either, which is certainly not a positive. Basically, you must use V-Cast in order to put a song on the cell phone.

The camera is a pretty cool feature as well, though it is standard on most of today’s cell phones. It’s located on the flip hinge of the phone, though it isn’t overly noticeable. One can take pictures with the phone flipped open or with the phone flipped closed; either way, you’ll still have a clear view of what exactly you’re taking a picture of since there is one LCD screen on the outside and one on the inside. I actually noticed the LCD on the VX8300 to be more precise and of a higher quality than my other camera phone. The photo and video quality also seems to be above average. The detail of the object being pictured is impressive for a camera on a cell phone, and the video feature is just as precise; the sound quality is also about as good as I have seen so far.

Overall, I really like the LG VX8300. Though I think the ringtone selection could be greater, I do like that the phone is attractive from the outside and that there are many cool features to play with. The voice demand, speakerphone and blue tooth are three extremely important features which I am taking advantage of. The call quality is also very good; I have had absolutely no problems. The battery charges quickly and it remains intact for quite awhile - all three bars always seem to be full, even at the end of the day. When it comes down a high quality cell phone that isn’t going to cost you a fortune, the LG VX8300 certainly does its job.

I worked for Verizon for 3 yerars and this phone was brand new- not refurbished with all the assessories. I would recommend this seller! You have to be very careful with some for sell because the ESN( serial number) can be tied to an account that owes a balance- then the phone can't be used. Also, you can run into worn out phones that have been water damaged etc...

this phone may have cost a little more.. but HONESTLY it's worth getting what you pay for! Plus I didn't have to renew a contract. That would cost you $175 dollars to cancel-

This is, and has been one of LG best phones for Verizon. Great call quality, and nice rugged little phone. I also like that it has an ext. antenna, as they seem to do better in out lying areas.
