I have had this phone for about 2 years and even though Verizon keeps coming out with new ones I came to ebay to buy the same phone again! I absolutely love how easy it is to text on this phone and to get to your music. I have dropped my phone in water twice and it still works and you can't say that about many of them. Its honestly the best phone I have ever had!!

I bought a LG 8300 cell phone on May 26th,I made the payment as soon as the auction ended. However I have never received the product and it is June 9th. I am very disappointed. The reason we bought a cell phone was because my daughter broke hers and we thought going the auction way would be cheaper and faster. I'm sorry it didn't work out that way. I would still buy from ebay I may be a litte pickier when it comes to sellers.

I love this phone!!! It has great features. Although it isn't all fancy looking it is very durable and up to date. I washed mine in the washer, let it dry out and it works perfectly!!! Must get. A+++++

The LG VX8300 is an outstanding phone. It is very durable. I am a truck driver and i am kind of rough on stuff so I need something that will stand up to my kind of roughness. The other thing is that the buttons are pretty good size as my fingers are big and I cannot use the small ones for texting.It is very easy to attach it the computer and download all my stuff and upload to it and its is very easy to navigate around. I am sure they have better phones out there but to me this is the phone. It takes really good pictures and does quick movies and records very easily. So I highly recommend this phone to anybody who is looking for a non complicated phone and with lots of features.

I decided to buy do to the price. But back cover kept falling off, and I could not activate it at store either the #'s are smudged. Why would anyone sell that and send manual w/ code than phone.

Likes:

Dislikes:

No digit voice dialing, comes with very poor ringers and wall paper.

I am a big fan of the VX8300 phones. They do everything from make calls, text, take great pictures and play music. The speakers are good enough to listen to music and calls.

I first purchased this phone on ebay well over a year ago. It is the best cell phone I've ever had and I've had a LOT! Just recently I dropped this phone in the sink! I thought it was ruined for good....it wouldn't hold a charge etc etc. THANKFULLY it ended up drying out and working as good as new!! So that's gotta count for something! Ended up reactivating it and selling the Motorola that I got to replace it. If I ever need a new phone, I'm getting another 8300. Awesome sound quality, easy to text on, SUPER durable....it's been dropped countless times and still looks new! LOVE THIS PHONE! I recommend it to everyone.

My teenage daughter finally has a phone that she finds totally acceptable!! It is made great, seems to stay looking brand new even with everyday, constant use, always works great, she says its the best for texting-the buttons "feel" good, and the signal is wonderful. This size and style are perfect for placing in pockets, and easy to use features. Great! I bought it on ebay because my daughter really wanted this particular phone, and had been through several phones that she was disappointed with. She lost her last phone, but didn't see the point in paying the $50 to replace with the same phone, if she didn't like it, so buying this one was well worth the money. We payed $114 for it used, and it was a bargain!Other phones seem to lose quality, not charge well, stop working properly, etc.

I bought the phone hopping to get better service. My older phone dropped a lot of calls. This phone is suppose to be a very popular phone on the market and durable. It dose work a little better but I still get a lot of dropped calls, being in such a heavy populated area such as Phoenix one would think that dropped calls would not be an issue, but it is. Were's all my poeple behinds me like you see in the comercials???

Great phone. Have a little problem with reception but not bad overall. Motorola E815 had better reception. Small, compact & lightweight unit. Probably would go to the next step up if I had to do it again.

Call adio quality sounds good, with clarity. Menus are intuitive and functional, although shortcuts are limited to just four. Importing MP3's are a breeze if you have a data cable or Bluetooth dongle and software like Bitpim, or just use a card reader and copy/paste. Install the card in your phone first so it gets formatted properly (it creates folders). The MP3 player works well enough, and the built in speakers suffice for transistor radio-like quality. I have purchased several different headphone adapters and none seem to work well, if they even worked at all. The plug inserts to a special depth, so getting a standard 4 ring plug to work is a bit tricky, and the volume is low. The LG adapter might play better. I have not tried playing songs through Bluetooth stereo headphones, so I can't speak on the performance there, but I'm sure the headphones will play a big part on how good the sound is.
I had some nits to pick on this phone when I first purchased it. One was that the speakerphone won't work unless the clam is open. I guess use a headset and forget the speaker, although that feature does work well and comes in handy when you have your hands full and and you've forgotten to charge your headset (Doh!). Another is audible alerts. You only get one for voicemail and text messages, but none for missed calls. Apparently for some, having this feature was an annoyance, but I say let me decide whether to turn it on or off. And the third is that a special cable is required for data transfer. I liked my old Moto with its mini USB. The charger/dataport are one, and so far my wife has dinged up two chargers to the point where they no longer work. It's a clumsy and awkward fit, and one must be careful and deliberate to insert it correctly at the proper angle, or eventually the charger stops connecting well enough to charge. This is actually her 2nd phone, as she left her first on top of her car and drove off. She stopped after hearing it tumble down the roof and hood, but it apparently bounced right into traffic and under the wheels of a passing car. It did not survive, hence the reason for this purchase.
All in all, I guess I like this phone well enough that I bought a replacement. Maybe that's an endorsement, or my being stupid and not researching other phones to upgrade to. Naw, I'm happy with it.

It is a good phone. The phone I got from the seller the camara does not work but that is all right she does not take picture. I have with mine it does take good pictures. I like that it is not to small and it is not to big.

It was what I was looking for and more! It had the functions that I need and extras that I didn't know about.

This phone was comfortable and did everything I needed without having so much stuff as to be too much waste. I didn't use the internet stuff or anything you have to pay monthly for. But the reception was always great. My son has Verizon phone also... cheaper one, and doesn't get *as good* reception, and reception is important to me. Also, I like using the bluetooth earpiece with it. (no, you can't go 30 feet from the phone, but keep it on your person. You'll want to see who's calling before answering, won't you?) I used the notes, the calculator, the calendar, the alarm. OH! I DO wish it had quick memo, like my daughter-in-laws.

This is by far the best phone I have ever owned. I love the music downloads, you can listen while working out at the gym or where ever I am. Very reliable and sturdy phone. It is also the clearest phone I have had to date. This phone has almost all the same features as the chocolate but with less problems. We have two other chocolates that I wish I hadn't bought. I plan to switch them to the LG8300.
