LG VX8100 (Verizon Wireless)

This review is for the LG VX8100 and the LG VX8100 with VCast Music both for the Verizon Wireless network. This phone packs VCAST, Get It Now, dual speakers for stereo sound, and Bluetooth wireless technology, it’s the ultimate in high speed, high tech and high style. This model features a 1.3 megapixel camera/camcorder.

The main difference between the two models is the first generation allows you to play MP3 files that you downloaded to your memory card. All new models come flashed with the new software that basically took that capability away but replaced it with a WMA player (Microsoft Windows Media files). Opinions sway in many directions when it comes to MP3 vs. WMA none the less the new models only play WMA. If your looking for the MP3 version make sure you ask the seller before you buy. The plus side with WMA on the newer models is that you can search, preview, buy, and download songs in WMA format directly from and to your phone and another e-mail account that you setup with the service. You download the higher compressed file directly to the phone while the less compressed CD-Quality file is sent to your e-mail address. With an optional VCast Music Kit you get a USB Data cable, Windows Media 10 software and a pair of stereo headphones so you can download your WMA music files to your phone.

This is an excellent and solid phone. It has a lot of bells and whistles and it does the job and does it very well. The Keypad has medium sized buttons but there is plenty of space between them, no more fat fingering using this model. It’s an awesome phone, great primary or backup phone if you lost your main phone or it was stolen.

I love the phone other than the battery has to be charged everyday. It came with lots of extras that are in good condition also.

Item arrived, on time and as described.
However, after less than 6 weeks it fell apart (the charging part of the phone simply fell off). Seller was less than interested to help....
True, it did work but surely we did not buy this phone to be used for approx 6 weeks. Very disappointing!! Sure he/she is right, but so am I.

About a month ago my aunt and uncle bought a couple of these phones off of ebay and i loved them so much i wanted to get one.And i did.I won one after three trys.I was acting like i won the lottery.The service was very fast and communication was excellent.I love my phone.Yeah it was a little tore up but i wouldnt trade it for the world.I tell everyone about my phone and tell them they really need to get a phone like this.Well lets just say my cousin just bought one yesterday, and i got my mom one the other day and i am going to be looking at another one for my boyfriend.I am so happy that they have an Ebay for people like me.Its been my shopping center for the last couple of weeks and many more to come.The seller that i recieved my phone from was awsome.i really got lucky.My phone is so awsome.it even came with 10 ringtones which is the music i listen too.i really love everything about this phone.Thank you so much.

i love everything bout this ph. and the ebayer i purchased it from was very nice and fast... the first time it got to me it didnt wrk, i called him resent back and found out it was the charger, so he credit me enough so i could buyer another charger from ebay... but even though it was from diff person, charger still wont wrk with ph. only car charger charges it... that my only complaint.. not his fault i feel though, ph is truly like new!!!! very nice, i purchased it for my aunt,,,, i have alltel service, she has verizon, she luvs it!!!!! i havent recieved my feedback on phone yet but i been left mine on him!!!! i really would like to get my feedback!!!!!

only one scratch on the front screen, other than that, very good condition, works great. the only flaw would be that it doesnt always have the best of service, connection wise

The LG VX8100 is a very nice phone. While I did not buy it for myself I did purchase it for my daughter. She is very happy with it. The picture function is very good on this phone. The pictures are very clear, and can be zoomed for closer pics. The phone also has very good pick up range from the towers. I have had many phones that had trouble picking up from even local towers. Most of the standard features that come with most phones is also on this one. This includes music,calendar,apptointments, alsarms and so forth. This is a very well made middle of the road phone. I did not buy one for myself only for the reason I wanted a pda, which I did buy from the same Ebay seller I bought this one from.

I liked this phone because it had video messaging. It did say it had scratches but was surprised with how many. But I bought a cell phone cover and my phone works great! I love it!
