LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game (Playstation 2)

Fun for everyone! I'm not a star wars fan but my husband is a little bit, so it was bought primarily for him. However it turns out that we both enjoy the game and so does our 3 year old daughter. The baby can't play obviously but he likes to watch it on the screen. I could care less about it being a star wars game, i don't hate the movies or anything but i think that even someone who has never seen the movies or perhaps just doesn't care for them would enjoy this game. It has a lot of puzzle solving, some racing, etc. It's kind of like playing several different games and in free play mode you can switch between characters which makes it alot easier for the kids and for collecting items. We absolutely love this game and it gives us something to do together although I think that me and our oldest play it more than he does lol!

The game was in great condition. It was sealed and not a scratch on it.I dont think I should be made to write 100 characters though just to submit this!

It's a great game. My 6 year old son loves to play it for long periods. It holds his interest and it's easy to play. We have the second Star Wars Lego game as well and I would definiltey recommend both for young boys.

I bought this game for my 5 and 6 year-old grandsons to play when they visited. I figured they'd just have fun moving the little characters around. Much to my surprise they have quickly learned how to obtain points, how to use "the force," how to change characters to accomplish tasks, and to move from one level to the next. One step builds onto another. BUT don't let the word "LEGO" fool you. My sons and husband also love playing this game with the boys. I would highly recommend this game for family fun. I think 5 years old is about the youngest to really be able to play the game and advance to various levels. I discovered that my 4 year-old grandchildren wanted to try it but just lacked the coordination to successfully maneuver the controls or to grasp the concept of the game. A good buy.

Other than being cheap, the game is fun and my son loves it. He loves all the Star Wars games and he can't wait to add to his collection.

I bought this game for my children because they adore the movies. It is an action game that has mild violence and may not be suitable for all children/parents. My boys are 4 and 5 and at first there were some trouble with mimicking but with moderation and explanation the problems have ended.

My boys are a little a head of there peers so I would probably recommend this game for ages 8 and up. I am almost 30 and I play it with them and have lots of fun. :)

A must have for any Star Wars fan although it is geared for a slightly younger/younger at heart, audience.

The story line is relatively accurate and the animated movie clips are cute.

There just is no other video game like this. You can play right with your child in full screen, help them out, earn goodies. The only other game that can complete in this class is Star Wars 2 Legos (we have that too).

Rated E for everyone means the kids can play it, but it's so FUN for the adults that the kids rarely get a chance! I love it!

I bought this game for my grandson for his birhtday. He told me this was what he wanted for his birthday on very short notice. I asked the seller to ship as quickly as possible due to the above. Awesome Game!! Love playing it with my son!! Very funny and fun to play!!! Once you have this game you must also have the original episodes (4 thru 6) game. You can then play characters from both games. Recommend to any Star Wars and or LEGO Fan. I can't wait for the Indiana Jones and Batman Lego games.

This is a great kids game. It tries to add lots of humor to the games and story lines from the original movies and it succeeds. I bought it for my six year old and he can't put it down.

My 7-yr old and all his friends love this game!! It has a ton of different aspects to it...racing, adventure...stuff that is too complex for a mere parent to figure out.

Before I bought it, I asked him which one of the Lego Star Wars he wanted. He insisted on the first version...Apparently all of his friends agree that this one is the one to get as version 2 Original Trilogy (in their words) does not let you complete some of the games.

I have been a big fan of George Lucas' Star Wars since Episode IV. When LEGO Star Wars was released, I could hardly wait to get it. It was NOT disappointing! My whole family plays it, and plays it, and plays it.

LucasArts put a lot of thought into the game. You begin by running around, blasting everything in sight, collecting points, and solving puzzles to get through each level. Then after you've completed a level, you can go back and play it again, for more rewards and more puzzles to solve, all in the quest of achieving Master Jedi status. Tip: don't pull your hair out trying to reach Master Jedi status on the first run through of each level, the programmers designed it so that you have to go through each level at least twice.

Even though you will die, the only real penalty is the loss of points. After you have earned enough points, you can buy all kinds of cheats, including "invincibility."

Team play is available, as well. It can be a little frustrating if the two players don't communicate, though. Because team play is full screen and if the two players walk off in different directions, it will limit where the players can go and typically causes needless death. That's not to say that if you're playing for pure entertainment, it's sometimes fun to get your partner wasted so they lose points and you "win" the round. Tip: a neat feature, players can opt-in and -out of the game at will.

The game is fun, challenging, and extremely entertaining. Although it is a shoot-em-up, the carnage is appropriately animated and suitable for all age levels with proper parental guidance. My son, who was 5 at the time and suffers from acute ADHD, enjoys the game and I firmly believe that it has helped in his "recovery" by helping to focus him on tasks.

There is plenty to do in this game - simply completing each level is only a small part of it. Earning points, buying cheats and extras, solving puzzles, finding hidden extras, building space ships, or just entertaining yourself in the cantina, LEGO Star Wars is a game that you'll enjoy for hours, time and again.

And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, LEGO Star Wars II came along with even more features and a hidden game within the game. GET 'EM BOTH!

My daughter loves the game. She played it at a friends house. Liked the game right away. Easy to learn, easy to play. Was not easy to find in the stores.

Great game to play. Easy and fun for everyone, especially children. There is no way to really die. If you loose your life you simply come back.

This game is one of the best games I have ever played. It is fun and challenging, but not too challenging. You almost feel as if you are playing with you legos in you living room and at the same time fighting the darkside. I would recommend this game to any star wars fan and to any child who still believes in the unbelievable. 5 STARS!!
