This is my favorite Nintendo DS game.

This game is incredibly funny.

You start out with 2 basic characters Princess Lela and Rebel Trooper.
As you move up in story mode you unlock free mode. You get to choose any variety of character that you have unlocked or created.

There are many extras that change the scenery or the characters in story or free play mode.

What I like best about it is how when the characters are destroyed they characters fall to peices and then they come back together again.

Plenty of action. My son loves it. The graphics are realistic and he know most of the characters. The game is easily learned how to play and is satisfying for many age groups.

This game is one of the best games I have ever played. It is fun and challenging, but not too challenging. You almost feel as if you are playing with you legos in you living room and at the same time fighting the darkside. I would recommend this game to any star wars fan and to any child who still believes in the unbelievable. 5 STARS!!

I bought this game for my son, he got a DS for his birthday and he really wanted a few games for it. I got this game pretty cheap and my son was really excited to get it. To start out, the game played very good but over time, the game has had troubles, it starts and stops, freezes up and won't save.

So, we had a couple good weeks with the game but now my son won't even bother playing it, he gets too frustrated when he finally gets so far and then the game freezes and your only choice is to turn it off and start all over again.

In hind sight, I should have bought the game new and in the future I will do just that.

I purchased this game for my son's 9th birthday, as he also received the DS Lite for the same birthday. I like this game because I was around for the original Star Wars Trilogy and have actually tried to play the game, but I can't use the buttons and was killed, so I gave up.
There is no gore, blood or guts and there is a purpose to the game. Being a christian that is important.

My son & daughter like to play this game very much, especially my son. Now, he wants to get it for the Wii (Gamecube version...no Wii version, yet).

Good for the Grandsons Austin, Dillion and Bo. They love it and are haveing fun.

I bought this product for my 10-year-old son and his DS at his request as a reward for good grades. It's a very popular game in our house. We have since acquired an entire stable of DS handheld game systems and the boys can play this game together (with some battling limitations). They all like the game well enough that they are requesting another copy for more interactive battling.
I've only played the PS2 version of Lego Star Wars, and it keeps me entertained with clever little Lego characters based on the Star Wars series. They are learned to sit patiently for the back-stories, which I find somewhat tedious. All in all, I know a handheld version of this game can keep a bunch of boys quiet for many miles in the car!

The game its self was okay but my son says the quality of the game is not good. I do not like giving poor reviews that is why it took me so long to send this one in.

This is a fun game for the kids. Not too violent, and lots of exploration fun. I played it for a while and was totally impressed with the simplicity - so that a beginner could play, and the comlpexity - so that I was constantly learning new tricks. It definitely gets the "brain juices" flowing.

The new Lego Star Wars is a great game. You have two choices when playing, the first is story mode where you basically follow your way through each episode which is a nice addition. The other option is free play where you can play as any of the many playable characters and unlock secrets. The graphics are very nice in this game but what I really like is the addition of vehical levels. This game is not really that hard to beat but unlocking all the secrets can get very difficult. The replay value with this game is huge because of all the unlockable players and you can use the lego pieces you collect throughout the game to purchase new players, cheats, and different mods to change game play. You can even create your own playable character out of lego pieces. Once in awhile during game play I did experience some bugs which was kind of annoying but exiting game play usually resolved the problem. I also did not really like the camera view during game play, I really would have hoped you could have more control over it maybe with the trigger buttons since they dont have a function on this game, but once you get the hang of how to move your character with the camera its not too bad. All in all I would recommend this game.

Good gameplay nice music and decent graphics, why you ask is it only getting 1? well the simple fact is it should never have left the computer, some levels are buggy as hell, you go one direction then you go another and the camera isnt the way its supposed to be and it stays there so you cant go on, if you try you fall down a hole and hit the bottom WITHOUT dieing. There are so many other bugs that nintendo had to be snorting crack to allow it on the DS, it should have stayed on computer because at least with the computer you can download a patch, even for the most extreme gamers out there, it is IMPOSSIBLE to beat lego star wars 2 100%.
Aside from all the buginess there is one level that requires you to jump from tiny log to tiny log, the fact that your character's shadow isn't very visible and the camera angle makes it hard to tell where the log is makes this level near impossible for even the most hardcore of gamers to beat, some of the levels are seriously flawed in their design. Do yourself a favour, DO NOT buy this game, buy it for the computer because at least on the computer they can fix bugs with patches.
