Kyocera Strobe K612

As I purchased this phone, I thought it was the neatest thing ever. It truely is; I've not had any major problems with it. It's a crowd pleaser and and it's sure to please you.
Ultimately, I would recommend that you buy this phone.
PRO'S: cute design, great for texting, crowd-pleaser, good service, comes with games (on US Cellular, at least), size*, basically it's everything about this phone minus the cons below. (:
CON's: when placed in the pocket or purse the buttons on the outside are easily pressed - I use the keygaurd, and it prevents this. But there are two more flaws in the keygaurd: it will allow you to answer calls [it turns off when a call comes on, but will, after hanging up, activate once more], and that it takes about 4 seconds to turn off. This may not seem like a lot of time, but when you do get to that point it's seriously annoying. Also; after a lot of opening and shutting on the phone, it wears out by squeaking [very quietly, I assure you] when you open and close it. This is minor, though.
OH! and it doesn't hold a charge extremely well. It lasts about 48 hours and then it dies.

comparatively? This phone is smaller than an envy from Verizon. This phone is much cuter than an envy from Verizon. This phone easily beats the envy from Verizon and is much, much cheaper than the envy from Verizon.

This phone is money-well spent and you cannot go wrong purchasing it.

I am not hard on phones, they always still look new when I retire them and get a new phone. This Kyocera Strobe K612 phone has issues with the charger unit breaking off inside the phone charger jack, and the sad thing is, Alltel knows it, and contines to sell both items, and will not warranty the phone if this happens . . . Sad, I thought Alltel was gonna be different!!

I AM GOING TO BUY ANOTHER ONE FOR BACK UP...THIS PHONE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WILL RING IN YOUR BLUETOOTH WITHOUT ANYONE KNOWING SOMEONE IS CALLING.I HAVE HAD MANY BLUETOOTH PHONES AND THIS ONE IS THE ONLY ONE WITH THAT FEATURE. SO PRIVACY IS AWESOME ESPECIALLY IF YOU GET THE EARPIECE M700 MODEL! EVEN TEXT MESSAGES...NOBODY CAN HEAR IT RING AT ALL. IT EVEN READS OFF THE NAME OF EVERYONE CALLING IN. THIS PHONE IS BEST ON THE MARKET!!!!! YOUR KIDS CAN EVEN TAKE IT TO SCHOOL AND PUT THE EARPIECE ON AND TEACHERS WILL NEVER HEAR IT RING!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PHONE!!!!

my son wanted the phone and the seller made a deal with me and i could not believe that. i will do business with him again when i need another phone.

I really like the qwerty keyboard. I very seldom text anyone because of the difficulty with a regular number key pad. This phone eliminates that problem.
the reception is good, the phone has lots of bells and whistles, but not so many that it is overwhelming. The phone feels good in my hand, not like the thinner phone I was using, I'm not afraid of breaking it if I "dial" to hard!
The camera is awesome. I like the control the phone gives you, and it has a flash, and a flashlight for low light situations.
I realize this is an older phone, the new one they came out with is OK, but I thought the size was too small, and it felt flimsy.
My only complaint is the product guide is 80 pages long whew... (sorry I still remember dial phones!) and it was used so I had to delete pictures, ringtones, and some very nasty texts!
all in all a very good phone, I'd buy it again. and again and...well you get the point!

as described works well older technology limited to personalize easy to use needs charged often buttons small durable needs expandable memory chip has diffrent ringtones and message tones

The phone was affordable. Came with 2 new chargers that I really like. Phone had a little more wear and tear than I expected but still works really good. I would buy from the seller again.

Unfortunately I never received the item because before it was shipped it was tested by the seller and found out that it was not working as it should, so the transaction was cancelled

Order arrived in 2 days. Awesome. We are happy with the product and the service. We took the phone to a Metro PCS store, explained to the employee where we purchased the phone and they assessed the phone and verified it was in perfect condition. I received exactly what was advertised and will look for this seller in the future.

This phone does everything it is suppose to do. I live in a rural area and don't get the best reception. All of my family has similar problems with their phones, except my Wife who has a Motorola V3 RAZR (it must have a better antenea). Still getting used to all of the Strobes features. Only able to find chargers, accessories, etc... on eBay though. Not even my phone carrier has these accessories.

This little phone is just that, small yet it does everything I need. with a full keyboard I can text almost as fast as my teen. I can access my e-mail and college website, record reminders, take good pictures and keep track of my calander. My only set back was the tower connection is not perfect. I get full tower in town but I am more in the country so I get a friendly roam, but a good connection most of the time.

This company sell bad phones of course it is going to work up until the 15th day then it will die.Will never buy anything else from this company

This is anice phone with lots of great features and is extremely easy to use.My only complaint is the picture messages i receive are very small hard to make out the picture,seems like a waist of a large screen.

I really love this phone. I can text easier and faster, take pictures and it looks cool too. Im sure aIll enjoy owning this phone on a day to day basis.

I bought an used phone, so I will not comment on the finish, only on some of the features. The front dialing keypad has the keys in such a position that the usual well finger-known sequence of 1-2-3/4-5-6/7-8-9/*-0-# looks more like 1-arrow down-3/4-2-6/7-5-9/*-8-#/blank-0-blank. Difficult to dial phone numbers with the sense of touch... easy to dial wrong numbers if you are not actually looking where you put your fingers. The inner QWERTY keypad is somewhat easy to use but it could be better. The outer screen is so small that you need to get it too close to your eyes to be able to read the caller ID numbers and any message. This is not the case with the inner bigger screen, but by the time you open the phone to see who's calling, the caller either hangs up or the call goes into voice mail. The games are lame. The calculator function seems like a mission to get it to calculate anything. Another issue is the battery time. In 24 hours or less, it's dead. Now, it could be because it is the original battery that came with the phone when it was new. The camera works as could be expected from a minimal pixel camera phone, but I always carry my regular digital camera so i rarely use the phone for pics. The internet access is somewhat slow and difficult to navigate compared to others. The overall design, not a pretty phone and too bulky for most pockets. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to do as a phone, plus, it doubles as an expensive paperweight. Actually, I bought it for my son who is into text messaging, and he dismissed it as "ugly" and "too heavy", so i kept it for myself. I Regret keeping it when I could have chosen a simpler model for much less to do the same things that I am actually doing, but at $65 (auction price) it works better than my old broken Kyocera 2235.

The phone arrived in lightning speed. The case is flawless. It looks brand new. The ad said that it was used by a teenager whose grades had fallen. The parent had confiscated the phone and was selling it. After receiving the phone I found another dealer using the identical ad to sell an identical phone. It made me wonder. So I browsed the menus on the phone and found that it had been used for many tens of thousands of calls. Hmmm.
If the phone provides the same great reception as my other strobe, I will keep it.

the phone workks gook, but i do have a problem with te charger, it wont stay in and charge the phone as it is suppose to , and the batte3ry doesnt stay charged for long.

I also bought a camera from El-direct, and the battery door was broken. My mistake was not to check it as it was a birthday gift i figured since they said new it would be in full working condition. They have refused to repair or exchange the camera. Bad for business. i WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN

Cell phone was sent w/o battery back door, seller to resend complimary items for error however, never received as agreeded, if withdraw previous feedback....will not use again

The product did not come with the right home charger and it was not in near mint condition. The product also cuts off in the middle of a text message or a phone call...

Well...The color is pealing off of the numbers. The previous owner's contacts had not been deleted. NEVERTHELESS, the phone works well. My son loves the keyboard for texting. It was worth it!

The item seems to be in the condition described. They took 12 days for me to get it, took forever for someone to get back to me as to why i have not rcvd my order yet and still were not helpfull. During that time in waiting, I have ordered and rcvd other items from other ebay vendors and still nothing from "valuecells" ebay vendor. I give them a below substandard rating and would not consider dealing with them in the future.

i like the features and that it is bluetooth enabled. it was exactly what i was looking for and the very useful when texting

the phone is what i wanted but i didnt know it was a better deal to buy a new phone from metro. the shipping was fast. i loved that.
