This 3.2MP camera is a very slim, user friendly camera PERFECT for hte entry level digital camera user, full of features, easy to carry, easy to learn, great for showing off!
I've had a Konica Dimage camera for a couple of years, unfortunately recently I dropped mine on a tile floor and broke it so I wanted to replace it cheaply, which I did by buying a slightly used one on eBay for about a third of it's retail price. It's a great little camera with an excellent zoom close/up feature which I use to get good photos for my eBay sales where lots of detail is necessary, i.e. jewelery etc. When my current Konica gives up the ghost, I'll definitely buy another (through eBay!), it's tiny and easy to carry around but the quality of the closeup photos is excellent.
I have purchased 3 DiMAGE X31 also 1 of the View Screens cracked, but this one was owned by my granddaughter and I really do not know what happened. I like the last one actually the best because it uses 2 AA batteries. I also own 2 more Konica Minolta cameras of the later models, they all take great pictures and slim enough to carry them in a shirt pocket
This digital camera is perfect for the person who wants to have a compact camera and good picture quality. What I like best about it is the fact that it will fit in your shirt OR pants pocket, and when you want to take your shot the camera turns on quickly. It also uses 2 AAA batteries, which lasts much longer than lithium batteries without charging. I can easily use the camera over the period of a couple of days, taking around 400 photos without charging the batteries. The picture quality at 3.2 megapixels is more than enough to email photos to freinds or family. I email photos in my work and set the resolution to a lower setting, and the quality of those photos are still quite good. The only thing I don't like about the camera is the menu system, which is controlled from the buttons on the top of the camera. These are a little difficult to use with someone with large fingers, like me. Also, when trying to erase images from the memory card, you have to erase them individually instead of erasing the whole card. This is a little more time consuming.
Anything more than 3 magapixel is taking advantage of the rich and/or uneducated unless you're printing poster size pictures. Great camera at an even better price. Just went through a DiMage X20 and needed nothing more. If I wouldn't have broken the batery cover I wouldn't be buying a new one. To bad Minolta stopped making cameras.
I thought I was getting a nice camera but all I get are fuzzy and unclear pictures. Not even the right color sometimes. I am very disappointed with this camera. Like I threw away my money.
