KOHAN: IMMORTAL SOVEREIGNS is a real time strategy game in a fantasy setting. I'm a fan of RTS games: Warcraft II, Age of Empires, Age of Kings and Civilization are all games that I've played and loved in this genre. Kohan does a good job of deftly blending the types of graphics available since Age of Empires into a fantasy setting of many factions. What this means is that the player gets control of one faction and must guide its building of cities and the infrastructure within them so as to put out units for battle. Pretty staid stuff, but Kohan puts a couple of nice twists into the mix....

This game has cult classic written all over it. Hardly anyone has heard of it. It was not advertised nor hyped in any way. However, whatever money the company saved by not advertising they spent on getting good programmers. The game is very enjoyable whether in single player mode or in a multiplayer game. Kohan introduces some new and interesting concepts to a saturated genre. Your armies gain experience and get better as time goes on so you don't want them to die. You control the board by building or taking over towns placed throughout the map, instead of having one big base. The towns...
