Knot's Landing - The Complete First Season (2006, DVD)

Bought it for a friend who adored Knot's Landing when it was on TV. Will be looking for other seasons or episodes in the future.

I love this movie. There nothing I don't dislike.I watch the hole series on TV when it first came out is why I bought it.

I LOVE this DVD! I lived for Thursday nights when this show originally aired. Watching this DVD brings back so many memories for me. Excellent video quality, packaged exactly how it was described. The only thing I don't like about it, is the fact that I can't get any more seasons!

I WAS A FANATIC, IN THE LONGEST NIGHT TIME SOAP OPERA AIRED, I NEVER MISSED ONE EPISODE, AND THEN I WATCHED REPEATS, I "LIVED" WITH VAL, KAREN, GARY (ESPECIALLY, CRUSH ON TED SHAKELFORD), I THINK WILLIAM DEVANE IS A FANTASTIC ACTOR, AND I NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I SEE VALS TWINS GET STOLEN, OR WHEN VAL HAD TO TAKE THOSE PILLS FROM JILL, I GET CHILLS. I CRIED, I LAUGHED, I DREAMED OF THESE FOLKS, I EVEN RECORDED 96 PLUS EPIDOES I STILL HAVE, TODAY I DECIDED TO CHECK EBAY TO SEE IF IT EVER CAME OUT ON DVD..AND "YES", IT HAS! NOW I GOT TO CHECK TO SEE I CAN GET A PERSONAL PHOTO FROM GARY "WHO EVERYONE LOVED"...AND DONNA MILLS, COULDN'T OF BEEN A BETTER EVIL PERSON, ONE REGRET "OLIVA" I FELT COULD'VE OF BROUGHT SO MUCH INTO THE SHOW. I was very, very disapointed with my purchase - my credit card was billed twice for the item I purchased. I tried to get help from Ebay and was told I'd have to go through paypal. Paypal said I should contact the seller which I did but of course, he was not willing to reply to my email. I won't be buying from Ebay anymore.

I love this show and was happy to see it available on DVD for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed watching every episode, and can not wait for the next seasons to follow. I especially liked the bonus feature of Val and Gary's interview and their review of the pilot. I recommend this DVD set to anyone who enjoyed Dallas or the late 70's/early 80's nighttime soaps.

I watched Knot's Landing for 14 years that it aired and unfortunately missed several episodes due to my work schedule. I was very much looking forward to picking up further Seasons and was very disappointed to learn that Warner Bros. will not be releasing any further episodes due to poor sales of Season One.

I've been waiting for 25 years to see this series again. It was my favorite primetime soap opera. Sometimes the acting wasn't the greatest, and the storylines were a bit corny, but the show tackled a lot of the everyday problems and issues we all face in our lives. In many episodes over the years they were ahead of their time and the first to feature stories about topics which had been taboo on television. They didn't have the big homes, big hair, expensive clothes and cars like Dallas and Dynasty. These were middle class people facing everyday situations which the average person could relate to. It was easy to get caught up in these characters and stories and I couldn't wait for the next week's episode. When all the old television shows started showing up on DVD sets, I was anxiously waiting and hoping for Knot's Landing to be one of them. Now I can't wait for season two to come out!

Knot's Landing was my favorite TV show. I'm so excited that this is out on DVD and am hoping Season Two comes out quickly. Even though I know what's going to happen next I still enjoyed watching the whole first season from the beginning. If you're a Knot's Landing fan, I highly recommend starting your collection with Season One.

I was a big fan of the show. I can't wait to get the rest of the sets. If you watched the show you would love a copy. They have great extra footage of the stars and scenes.
