It was a great movie in the mid 70's and is a great movie now. The origional "Spook" movie that is the grandpa of todays conspiracy movies. Lots of twists & turns. Very well done.

"I forgot to adhere to the 6 "P" principle." Robert Duvall In 1975, The Godfather costars James Caan and Robert Duvall teamed up with controversial action director Sam Peckinpah to film The Killer Elite, a story of undercover intelligence work in the waning years of the Cold War. The Killer Elite has an opening sequence reminiscent of The Wild Bunch in that it establishes the tensions between the characters right from the outset. We learn they are in undercover work and have just engineered an explosion in a factory. Mike (Caan) and George (Duvall) work for ComTeg an outfit that does contract.
