My experience with KB vol.2 UMD
Review created: 06/06/08

1st- nothing beats the convenience of the UMD format, having the ability to play great games, watch movies or listen to music all in one device.

2nd- kill bill vol.2 is just a personal fascination that i have with japanese culture especially regarding samurai swords of which i own several inculding the one displayed in the movie.

3rd- is the compact nature of the technology as a whole being able to pack it up and go anywhere is tremendously important to me.

 Good movie

As the second, and last, movie of kill bill it is a must if you saw the first one.
I liked the movie very much, better than the first one, as it almost never happed.
The picture quality of the UMD is very good, and the sound is great. Unfortunately in the UMD you can't apreciate the surround sound effects that this movie has on DVD.

Kill Bill Volume 2: Who knew eyes were so smooshy?
Review created: 04/20/04

Pros:
Concludes Volume 1, better character development

Cons:
not as many fight scenes, not enough character development

Kill Bill: Volume 2 picks up at almost the exact point you would expect. Two members of the Deadly Viper Assassin Squad have already met their untimely demise in the name of revenge, and Black Mamba, a.k.a.The Bride, a.k.a. Beatrix Kiddo, played by a very svelte Uma Thurman, is on her way to the final destination: to Kill Bill. Having watched Volume 1 and Volume 2 with only dinner separating the two, I rather enjoyed the near seamless continuation. Seamless as it was, the two volumes definitely have some notable differences. Volume 2 gives a bit more character development than Volume 1 gave,.

 Kill Bill part deux
Review created: 04/17/04

Pros:
A very unexpected and beautiful ending. Major suspense. Nice atmosphere and more crazy music.

Cons:
The most extreme version of slow for the first 40 minutes.

The following is an imaginary excerpt from Quentin Tarantino's journal. May 16, 2003 Just returned from the matinee showing of The Matrix: Reloaded. I don't claim to be the keenest eyeball on the fly, but something tells me that trilogy is shot. We need a cliffhanger that people will foam at the mouth for a resolution, and I'm not seeing it there. The Two Towers resolves itself in November, then what will people look forward to? I have got to do something about this. October comes around, here comes Kill Bill: Volume 1. Strategically, it is split into two parts for which the second doesn't...

The Emperor Is Nekkid: Kill Bill, Vol. 2
Review created: 05/06/06
by: George_Chabot-- a member of Epinions and Advisor in Movies

Pros:
Pretty pictures

Cons:
Paint by numbers direction; nonsensical, monkey-authored script, acting, shameless ego stroking.

Kill Bill, Vol. 2 (2004) "I'd rather have a 'Royale with Cheese.'" George Chabot a gold-plated turd. film critic Waynio Tasteless, odorless crud. Sol, Soylent Green You can fool all of the people some of the time Abraham Lincoln Quentin Tarantino is shooting blanks. Unable to come up with an original idea since 1992 s Reservoir Dogs, he has relied on an over-the-top mishmash of derivative action, a comic book story, marginally talented actors, and his own increasingly tiresome genre-blending style. But he has fans - despite the steady decline in quality of each of his succeeding films,...

 Finishing The Kill
Review created: 07/02/04
by: pmills1210-- a member of Epinions and Advisor in Movies

Pros:
Thurman and the surviving DVAS are fine

Cons:
Story is borrowed from a character in Pulp Fiction

Here comes The Bride again - and she's not necessarily wearing white. The Bride (Uma Thurman) is out to conclude the movie's stated mission in "Kill Bill Vol. 2," which brings her face to face with the surviving members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. Now that she's awakened from her coma, Bill (David Carradine) has given the DVAS permission to finish the massacre they stated in a small Texas chapel. At the end of "Vol. 1," the audience learns something that The Bride doesn't know. In fact, in "Vol. 2," they also learn the real name of the woman whose DVAS name is Black Mamba....

To Kill is to Love: Kill Bill: Volume 2
Review created: 04/17/04
by: Pffrdfdus7 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
nearly all

Cons:
few

Where Kill Bill: Volume 1 ended with a dizzying bang, a clandestine revelation and an uncertain future, Quentin Tarantino s Kill Bill: Volume 2 finalizes on a disparate note, obviously more conclusive, and initially alarming but warming and appropriate all the same. Similarly divergent in tone, the second volume adopts the uncelebrated half of revenge, by essentially not reveling in violence or gore but the effects of that violence, the consequential loneliness or hollowness. It s obviously another genre-film stew, directly drawing from seventies chop-socky, Howard Hawks elements, and his own.
