Will Ferrell is tame but funny is Kicking & Screaming

So Good! Kicking & Screaming is a PG-rated Will Ferrell movie made for the family - kids will love the story and soccer (think Little Giants) and adults will love Will Ferrell who is as hilarious as ever (just with a G-rated tone). Whether you're a Will Ferrell die-hard fan or looking for a Friday night movie for the entire family - this is a 5/5 movie that is guaranteed to entertain. Mike Ditka is a great addition to the film - he pokes fun at himself and is great. Robert Duvall is great as the crazy father. And the bizarre Byong Sun is hilarious as the mislead kid and steals all of his scenes.

Pros:
Will Ferrell has some funny moments.

Cons:
The MPAA rating needs to go up a notch on this one.

When you have an over achieving father and a son who struggles athletically you get the humorously charged film titled, "Kicking

Will Ferrell overachieves and makes this a pleasant view.

Cons:
Robert Duvall is splendid at serious roles. Wait.. this is not a serious role...

Java will make all you dreams come true. Taking under major consideration, that Kicking and Screaming was made predominantly for youngsters, the end product seems quite reasonable. It's not a landmark funny film but at the same time its just enough under the top to satisfy. Filled with many funny sequences, as well as an "after school special" ending, it is a fitting film for the family to see. Plus, you get the chance to see Will Ferrell overachieving. The script was not top notch, but Mr. Ferrell sure squeezed all the comedic juice he could out of it. What is all the Kicking and Screaming.

Bend It Like Weston

Athletics have always been a part of the life of Phil Weston. Although Phil (Will Ferrell) was never a particularly gifted athlete, he participated in athletics because of his father, Buck (Robert Duvall), a fierce competitor, owner of a growing chain of sporting goods shops, and soccer coach. The only good thing that came from his days as an athlete is that he met his wife, Barbara (Kate Walsh). The competition between Phil and Buck didn't end, however, when Phil's dubious athletic career ended. When Phil opened a sports pill shop of his own, Buck always insisted his son would never make it..

Will Ferrell spent several years on the cast of Saturday Night Live before he left the show. He made several movies while on the show, though he was usually in supporting roles. He had the lead part in Kicking

Good family film, humor for both kids and adults, positive message

I would call this a case of a pretty decent family movie with a bad name and poor marketing campaign. Kicking and Screaming opened this weekend, and despite having pretty decent star power in the cast, I had heard virtually nothing about it and didn t know what the plot even involved.
