Keurig Platinum B70 Coffee Maker

Keurig makes a great coffee maker.

The best part in my house is that I am the only serious coffee drinker. Therefore, making an entire pot for one person is kind of a waste. This coffee maker allows me to make a single cup at a time (so I am not drinking 3 hour old coffee any more) and without filters, grinds, dirty pot, etc to deal with. If you turn the unit off when not in use (I do), it does take a couple minutes to heat up prior to making the first cup. However, I can be drinking a cup in under 5 minutes from whenever I turn it on.

The downside to these, as has been noted in other online reviews, is that the coffee can be weak (especially in the larger brew sizes). I get around this by using extra bold or espresso pods, which works out ok.

They have a good selection of coffees which can be purchased online (keurig.com, ebay, etc) or I have found them at my local Target. However, the best selection is certainly online. Keurig is owned by Green Mountain Coffee, so if you like their stuff, you are set (they do carry other coffees as well).

I would certainly buy another Keurig coffee maker.

Love it, it's convenient. I don't waste cofee any more, so easy to use. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone who just doesn't have time in the morning to finish off a full pot of coffee. You can make a travel mug size to take with you. I consider this an excellent purchase. Would recommend to all.

Everybody likes their coffee made or tasting the way they like it. This is the machine to handle that job. We have completely different tastes in the office and we are satisfied with this coffee maker.
I would hope they figure a way to develop a low cost cup for using your own grounds. Coffee is good but overpriced. Better prices locally.

I love the taste of the coffee and tea. I love the hot temperature of each cup.
We decided to purchase the unit after looking at so many different coffee makers. Perhaps the only thing that I dislike is the cost of the K-cups they can be a bit pricey.

This is a great product. Big selection of coffees. Flavor is best I have tasted for any home coffee maker. Very neat, no clean up. 30 seconds to brew cup. Guests can choose their preferred flavor. I bought the re-fillable K-Cup, it allows use of your bulk purchased coffee, but clean up is messy.

I LOVE my Kuerig B70. At work, we've always had a Keurig coffee maker and several different types of k-cups. The Keurig always makes a fresh cup and if you can push a button you can work this coffee maker. Now at home, and more specifically with the B70, you do have to add water to the reserviour on the side, but the principle is still the same, add the K-cup and be prepared to enjoy coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

If buying from e-bay, I strongly suggest buying a BRAND NEW coffee maker that INCLUDES the manufacter warranty. I purchased a BRAND NEW B70 through a reputable seller which ncluded the manufactures warranty. I received my item in excellent condition - packed extremely well in the manufactuer's packaging -however, the unit did not work properly. Due to the warranty, I dealt with Keurig directly and they shipped a brand new B70 VIA FED EX to my house FOR NO CHARGE!! They even sent Fed-Ex back to pick up the broken Keurig AT NO CHARGE TO ME. Now that is A-1 Customer Service.

Yes, the K-cups can be expensive but for convenience & variety, I believe they are worth it - there are places on the net where you can get discounts on them, including e-bay, be resourceful & patient.

The B70 has four different cup sizes - 5 oz up to 16 oz - I tend to use the 12 oz measurement with "medium" roast coffee. My husband uses the 16 oz measurement with dark roast coffee. It makes a perfect cup every time. The B70 itself has a smart design and the blue light on the LCD display and the blue LED lights on the water reservour make this a beautiful appliance. It spruces up my kitchen (lol!).

Some folks may think that spending $200.00 on a coffee maker is a little crazy, but if you love coffee, love convenience and every member of your household has different tastes (like mine)...it is soo worth it. If you are Starbucks/Wawa/Dunkin Dounut coffee junkie, you'll end up saving money in the long one by buying one of these.

I got it as a gift for my husband and he loves it. Keeps him from going out to buy a cup of coffee.

This coffee machine gets the coffee extremely hot and the coffee is great with the many coffee choices you have. It gives the perfect brew and is strong, just like I like it! There is nothing to clean up! I highly reccomend this product.

I have tried them all, and the Keurig K-cup coffee maker is the best single cup delivery system around. A perfect cup of coffee or tea for around 50 cents.

I upgraded to this machine from the B50. This one is amazing. The look is much nicer and it is much quieter than the other model. Before, everyone in my house would know when I was having coffee, no matter where they were in my house because the B50 is so noisy. This model, is everything that one would want in a single cup coffee brewer...pretty, quiet and a 60 oz. water tank. I would definitely tell all of my friends and family to buy one.

I bought the KEURIG coffee maker as a housewarming gift and they were thrilled, ergo, I was, also. A new way to serve hot drinks so everyone may have a cup of their choice - coffee, decaf, tea, hot chocolate, a cup at a time - without making a full pot of any one drink.

The initial priming is very easy, brewing a cup is even easier; coffee has great strong flavor at 2 smallest cup sizes but weaker at larger sizes; the reusable filter for packing your own coffee should be included at price this B70 sells for but worth the cost if bought on sale; unit looks great on counter especially at night in a dark kitchen - many compliments - can I get referral credits for free coffee :') ?

I was introduced to the world of one-cup brewers with my friend's Tassimo. Simple, fast, and no fuss! I was hooked.

As I research a bit, I realize there's mainly 3 companies that puts out these single-cup brewers. At the end, I went with the Keurig B50, as that's the only one that lets you brew your own coffee with the My K-Cup filter attachment.

But my B50 didn't do any espresso cup sizes, and the B60 had one more size in additional to the B50. Later, I realize there's a B70, with 4 cup sizes!

As it turned out, it was not an espresso cup that they added, but a larger travel thermo-cup size, which is fine by me.

The controls of the B70 is very well thought out. Very easy to program. You don't even need the manual or a high school diploma to program it. It also has the additional SET TEMPERATURE feature. Not sure how much of a difference 5 degrees will do, but it's in 1 degree increments, from 187 to 192 degrees.

The timer is a standard feature in all the Keurig, except for the entry, basic B40 model. Very nice to have, as if you want to wake up and have piping hot java down your throat in 40 seconds flat.

Also a step-up feature on the B70 is the Quiet Brew technology. Not sure how much quieter it was when compared to the B50, but it seems like one thing they did was the slower speed that coffee spews out.

Slightly larger water reservoir completes upgrades in features of the B70. Once you drink as much as I do (about 10 cups a day), no reservoir is large enough. I did find the larger capacity slightly larger, as I only go fill up once a day.

With the B70, you are ready for that Poker night! Perfect for get togethers. Just make sure you buy plenty of K-Cups before game night, and your friends will be dazzled by the blue back-lit LCD control panel while they wait for their cup of joe!

I first saw this machine at work. Was very impressed with how easy it was to use, how fast it brewed, and the tasty coffee it produced. So, I decided to buy one for home. Love, love, love it!!!! Even though it's a bit costly, it's well worth it. No mess, no grounds to contend with, no bitterness, and no wasted coffee. At this point, I find no faults with the coffee maker and, this model isn't as noisy as the one at work. As far as ordering the coffee pods, you can check various locations to find the best deals pricewise. It's the cadillac of coffee makers!!!!!

It makes a perfect single cup of coffee. Being the only coffee drinker in my house, a full pot of coffee is not practical and the longer the pot is on the heating element the poorer quality coffee provided. Keurig solves this problem delivering outstanding coffee at the perfect temperature. Clean up takes all of five seconds!

After researching a lot of different models I decided on the Keurig Platinum B70 because of the ability to change cup size and so I don't have coffee sitting around getting old. Now each cup is fresh and the coffee is like fresh ground. However, unless you make a small cup, it could be a little stronger for my taste. I haven't tried all the different types of coffee yet so that may change my opinion. I have the little device on order that disperses the water more evenly and that may do the trick.

All told I really like this machine. It works great and looks good and makes a cup in about 20 seconds. Thats cool.

We ( I ) bought this coffee maker because my wife's nephew had one in his Dr's office, and had it at home when we visited. My wife thought it would be good because she drinks a couple of cups of coffee and then wastes the rest. For what this coffee make costs, you could waste a lot of coffee. Be that as it may, I bid and won the thing. It works great and came with a number of sample coffees and teas. Even hot chocolate. Was it something we needed? No. I've only used it a few times, but it works well, and the coffee is good. I noticed my dentist has one in his office, and I think that is where it really is worthwhile. If you are in a hurry and want to grab a couple of cups of good coffee on your way out, or if you have guests that enjoy trying different types of coffee or tea, this is a great way to do it.
