This replaces my vhs. Glad I found it on Ebay. One of my favorite Brad Pitt movies because he mentions Vernon,Fl which is only 12 miles from where I live.
This movie was on my On Demand free movie section the other night so I decided there were enough stars in it to give it a go. Brad Pitt was a complete trailer trash nut job, it was awesome. Juliette Lewis plays the dumb trailer trash sidekick PERFECTLY. The movie had me on edge, was suspensful and even scary at times. I liked it so much I watched it again with a friend a couple of days later.
I caught this movie on tv first and somehow it caught me and I sat through the commercials and watched it--mesmerized! I'm not one for movies AT ALL, I don't have the patience to sit through them and they're always so obvious, just from the previews, you know how they'll end. This movie was great and with David D. and Juliette Lewis playing along with Brad Pitt, you'll definitely stay glued to the screen, waiting to see what happens next because YOU don't find out too much more than the other characters do...unlike most movies, you always know what's going on already...this movie has a killer ending that lasts a good long while, I can't describe it, you just HAVE to see it to believe it!!
I've been looking for this movie for awhile, when I got on ebay and found it, I decidedv to buy it. Everything came out aok. I thought maybe it might have forgot about me or mailed to the wrong place, butv I got it and i'm satified. thank you for your services ebay, andd asking about it.
If you are sick of seeing Brad Pitt waste his talent playing straight-laced characters and you’d rather see him playing what he’s best at—a complete lunatic, then this is the movie for you. Brad plays this character like no one else could. It’s one of my favorites.

Kalifornia - Talk About a Road Trip!

Pros: Cast, storyline
Cons: Duchovny's big hair
I had watched Kalifornia back when it came out in 1993 and loved it, so when we happened across it at Blockbusters last night and Nick said he'd never heard of it..well.. we had to rent it. This is one of those movies. You know the ones. the ones where you think everyone in the country should see it because it's just that good. I suppose I should qualify my feelings here. My background is in Criminology, Serial Killers in particular..so movies like this peak my interest, but I don't automatically love them. I find flaws in most depictions. Now, while I would not classify Brad Pitt's character.

Hotel Kalifornia: We are all just prisoners here

Pros: A finely crafted, thoughtful movie. Great acting.
Cons: Frightening undertone
Two short notes: I want to make it clear that this is a friendly sort of Write-Off because juliette would be a fool to take on writers like Zentropajk and hirohito99 in a competitive-type one (and she is no fool, or so she likes to think.) Also, my contribution requires a spoiler alert! In order to justify my thesis, I must give away the ending(s) of the film. Please be aware that if you have not yet seen this movie: you may want to forgo this reading until after you have seen it, and that you should see it soon; it is an excellent thriller. Years ago, I overheard a woman in a bookstore film..

Pros: Brad Pitt has a fine "Early" performance
Cons: seems to drag on forever
In need of a little extra sleep? Would you like to have a reason for a good nap? Need a little extra shut-eye? I've got the solution right here... Kalifornia , released in 1993, and starring David Duchovny, Juliette Lewis, Michelle Forbes, and (at the time) a relative newcomer known then as "William Bradley Pitt". Apparently, over time as his career grew in stature he removed the "ley" and somewhere along the line either lost his William or dropped it somewhere. Frankly, losing the William is not something that I would admit to publicly, and he is to be applauded for his courage in not only..

Pros: Very gritty, twisted story. Excellent performances by Pitt and other actors.
Cons: Explicit sex and violence. Not for everyone.
My husband bought another movie the other night with the thought that I would really like it. I wasn't sure about it I had never heard of it. But the back of the movie proclaimed that it was about a serial killer. Now I realize that it's a bit twisted, but I am fascinated with serial killers in general. So, even though I wasn't sure I was going to like it I gave it a try. Upon opening the dvd I had to start by making a decision. The dvd contained both the cut and un-cut version. What the heck, let's go for the uncut version. I think I can handle it. The beginning scene is a bit obscure. Dark,.

Dark thriller like an Episode of The X-Files
Review created: 07/16/04
by: harrison310 -- a member of Epinions
Pros: Cinematography, Brad Pitt as an actor, creepy story, Duchovny humor, Juliette Lewis singing
Cons: Can be gross
An indie film that was too bleak for mainstream audiences but a surprise cult hit with the David Duchovny Estrogen Parade, Kalifornia is a stylish murder mystery that plays like a very explicit episode of the X-Files. Brad Pitt, David Duchovny and Juliette Lewis star in this noirish story about Brian (Duchovny), a journalist writing a book about serial killers, and his photographer girlfriend Carrie (Star Trek s Michelle Forbes), who decide to take a cross-country road trip to photograph the sites of famous serial killings on their way to California. To share the gas costs of their guzzling...
