Juno (CD)

my daughter really wanted this cd. and she loves it/ the only thing is it doesnt say on the outside of the cd that there is some inappropiate words in a few of the songs. other than that, the seller did a good job in shipping and packaging

I just love all of the songs throughout the movie so much I had to buy the soundtrack. The last song on the soundtrack was stuck in my head for the longest time after hearing it in the movie and I think it's really cool how the two main characters sing the lyrics.
Great movie.

Now in America people imagine the music of the century as Rap, pop, and R&B. After watching Juno you realize another version of music that is hard to describe. In a couple words I would say its relaxing and simple. No fancy beat, just simple and relaxing music.

The music is not for everyone but I think its a twist to the normal teen music. If you plan on buying the soundtrack, search around to hear clips of it before buying to make sure that you like it! I thought the music was worth the money. Once you recieve it, be prepared for an enjoyable suprise!

After listening to all of it I would rate it an 8.5/10, but I would rate the movie a 10/10!

This soundtrack is great and contains all of the most original and relaxing songs from the actual movie. Highly recommended for anyone that wants to listen to something simple but unique.

Bottom line, this cd is what it is: a compilation of songs that were selected to enhance and render the scenes of a funny, dense, stylish movie.

As a soundtrack, this cd works well if you've already seen the movie. It basically offers a sonic overview of how the scenes and twists sequence out and how the movie progresses. By the time the third or fourth track comes around, you feel the same way you would if you were watching the movie (provided it speaks to you).

As an album, it proves to be a little less efficient because the selection is both so precise and yet so erratic. Whereas I find it absolutely awesome to have someone remind me of how great Sonic Youth is (by ways of exclusive records or oddities), I do find it somewhat tiresome after a while to listen to prepubescent gals with raspy, innocent voices singing about infatuation, best friends, rabbit suits, and nerdy boys.

All in all, this is a really good soundtrack, one that goes hand in hand with an equally unique and pleasant flick, but it struggles to sound like a cohesive compilation. Still, give it a try just in case it fits you.

The best thing about the CD is Kimya Dawson. I loved the movie and loved the music in the movie which is why I decided to buy the soundtrack. However, the music is better in the movie than it is on a CD.

I loved the movie and I love the soundtrack. It is fun, upbeat and reminds me of the movie. My kids get a kick out of it too!

You will LOVE the cd! It is a really great mix of tunes, and I am soooooooo happy that I got a copy. The songs that they do together, by Kimya are really a plus. I highly recommend this cd! Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard the Moldy Peaches recently on 'The View' and wondered if these two kids could be legit.. . Just a couple of teenagers with a raw, yet homey, old-time sound. I wasn't even sure if they were singing the right notes some of the time! The Moldy Peaches sing "Anyone Else But You"; Kimya Dawson (the female Moldy Peach) sings several other songs on the CD. Antsy Pants, The Kinks, Sonic Youth and others create a wonderful patchwork of sound. Don't listen if you can't stand to have quirky little songs stuck in your brain! I haven't even gotten to see the movie yet, but the music definitely has me hooked!

This is definitely the best soundtrack in a while. The last time I went crazy listening to a soundtrack was the Forrest Gump soundtrack. It's a prefect blend of classic rock, folk, and pop. There's a couple of tracks that don't fit in (that doesn't mean they are not good it's just Sonic Youth comes out of nowhere) but otherwise it all flows perfectly. If you appreciate good music then there's something on here for you.
