An excellent watch, my 6 year old adores it. In this day and age, the children are growing up so very quickly, and as much as she still adores her Disney movies, it was getting harder to keep her from more adult issues.
We recently have had to deal with death in the fsmily, and she was suffering with separation anxiety. It is hard to imagine that a movie could go so far to help her understand and deal with emotions that she wasn't able to articulate, but this movie did help.
Robin WIlliams is, as always, fantastic. He and the child actors touch on both subjects in a very sensitive manner. By turns, they show the sadness and heartache of loss for those left behind, the fear of being alone, and that it is perfectly acceptable to feel the way that you do. Before you know it, the laughter and hijinks hit hiome, and my baby left with the understanding that as hard as these things can be, life does go on, and things do get better.
Absolutely entertaining and well worth the money spent, this film is one of our favorites!
