Great buy. Though the CD was not sealed, it and the case were in 1st class condition. Would buy again and highly recommend this seller Shipping was right on time.
This CD is one of Clapton's best. I think he chose a collection of songs that he was able to add his magical feel to. Being one of the most respected musicians in the world. This album really shows his understanding of different genres. His guitar tracks on this album are superb and flawless. world class standards for record producing for the guitarist have been set. I recommend this album as a must for anyone who appreciates music theory and composition.
This CD has some of Eric's best music. I have liked it from the first time I heard it. One song in particular, "No Alibis" is a song I identify with due to some personal feelings when the album was first released. I owned a copy of this disc but my son had lost it. I looked all over and was unable to find a copy. When I saw it here on EBAY, I just had to bid on it. Even though this item is used, it is in excellent condition. I am extremely pleased to have won this item. To be able to sit and listen to this music again is wonderful.
Artists, Chaka Khan, David Sanborn, George Harrison, Hank Crawford, John Oates, Phil Collins and Robert Cray help Eric Clpaton to make this a fine album.
Tracks include:
1. Pretending 2. Anything For Your Love 3. Bad Love 4. Running On Faith 5. Hard Times 6. Hound Dog 7. No Alibis 8. Run So Far - (with George Harrison) 9. Old Love - (with Robert Cray) 10. Breaking Point 11. Lead Me On 12. Before You Accuse Me

Pros: Some great songs, and a few moments of great guitar soloing.
Cons: Some stupid songs, and not enough soloing.
"Journeyman" is possibly Clapton's best studio album besides "From the Cradle", which doesn't really count, because it was all performed live in the studio without overdubs. There really are some great songs on the album, like "Pretending", "Old Love", "Bad Love", "Running on Faith", and "Hard Times". Of course all of these songs are much better when they are performed live on "24 Nights". Clapton is just not allowed to reach his full potential in the studio setting. The reason Clapton was called a god back in the 60's is the fact that he can solo on the guitar like no one else on the planet..
