I love this CD! Josh Groban has a wonderful voice, a big part of why I made this purchase. My son takes ballet and I like working with him at home also. It is a great combination of a 'classical' sound and modern feel. This is the perfect music style to practice positions and let him make up his own routines (for our viewing pleasure). The DVD is just a bonus. If ever there's that time when nothing appealing is on TV I know I can just pop it into the player and relax while I'm being serenaded...at home it can be my own personal concert!!

I like the singer on this cd. He could sing anything and it would sound beautiful. I heard a cd that someone else had and liked it. I checked Ebay and found the same cd. I listen to this cd everyday.

SIMPLY WONDERFUL. What else can I say!?! The CD is really good, with the previously unreleased O Holy Night, which he sings beautifully. But the DVD - it is great! To actually see Josh Groban sing all his debut album's songs, plus more! I loved it! It is really entertaining to watch, not just because of wonderful songs, but he also does a few unexpected things. The DVD also features a "making of the special" part, and backstage footage by his brother. All in all, this is a great CD/DVD combo! I highly reccomend it!

Josh Groban In Concert - Sing To Me My Prince!
Review created: 01/14/03
by: kristinafh -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Now *this* is how an artist should package their music.

Cons:
None.

Preamble So one night in November, I'm home, bored, and flipping channels. I hardly ever go to our PBS station but for some reason that night I did. Guess what I found? Gasp! That's right. The Josh Groban concert was just about to premier. I couldn't believe my luck! With the boys out of the house (husband and son) and no other commitments that night, I giggled at the thought of enjoying a girly-girl night in front of the television. I immediately changed into some flannel jammies, grabbed a mug of hot chocolate (extra marshmallows), turned all of the lights down low, and wrapped myself up in.

Josh Groban - the talent Clay Aiken wishes he could have
Review created: 12/31/03

Pros:
Josh's vocal talents and these gorgeous theatrical ballads will sweep you away

Cons:
Angie Stone's duet, a few miffed low notes

Consider Clay Aiken for a moment - he's good, but... what Clay really needs to do is get himself a career as a real vocalist, performing in theaters and on concert stages for PBS. What he really needs to do is: be like Josh Groban... Wasn't he on that quirky Fox show? Clay and Josh have something in common - I saw them both for the first time on a FOX network show. Josh would never have won American Idol - he's far too talented to ever have to appear on that show (sorry Claymates - your man certainly knows how to sing, and I like him too, but he is nowhere near as talented as our Mr. Groban)..

Fall Into The Wonderful World Of Josh Groban
Review created: 02/16/06

Pros:
Josh's talent, the orchestra, guest appearances, the price...

Cons:
...some of the "bonus" features were a bit disappointing (read review)

What's better than seeing your favorite musician live in concert? Seeing them live in concert from the comfort of your own home! That's the case with this CD/DVD combo of Josh Groban in Concert. Back in 2001, Josh performed a live concert for a special that aired on PBS. I actually remember watching the special; I was just flipping past PBS when I saw Josh on stage singing Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring. It was pretty exciting to watch the special, and all month long I found myself turning to PBS just in case a rerun of the show was airing (And in most cases it was. PBS aired the show on almost..

A must have DVD for music lovers
Review created: 02/02/04

Pros:
Too many to list...see above description

Cons:
Needed a different duet partner in The Prayer

I have had my Groban DVD/CD set for about 3 months now. I must say that this guys voice and poise impressed me from the very beginning. I had first heard of Josh about 2 years ago when he filled in for the ailing opera tenor Andrea Bocelli at a Grammy rehearsal. At the time, I believe he was 17 yrs old, and his voice was phenominal (for his age). At one point during the rehearsal, Celine Dion (who was the duet partner in the song Josh was filing in for) quit singing altogether because she couldn't believe the abilities of the young kid standing next to her. This DVD, recorded a couple years...

as captivating live as in the studio

Pros:
- Excellent performances
- The CD and DVD combo is a real bargain

Cons:
- There are really only 3 new songs
- No new musical boundaries crossed

This is a DVD and CD "2-in-1" package deal. The DVD is a live concert performance and the regular audio CD has many of the same songs from the concert (though not all the songs from the DVD) and both are sold. All the songs are from Groban's debut release, with the exception of 3 new songs: "Broken Vow", "For Always" (written by legendary movie composer John Williams for the movie "A.I.") and the traditional Christmas song "O Holy Night". In this sense, most of Groban's songs have now been released on disk 3 times, though now they are live. The majority of songs here are aimed right at people.
