I've taken my daughter and now my grandchildren to enjoy this play as well as numerous friends. It's a happy, up-beat play with music that will stay in your head for a long time to come. We have memorized all the words and love the music, and I can recommend this CD as one all ages will love. Michael Damian is my favorite "Joseph" and he does an excellent job, as does the narrator. 2 thumbs up!
I love the musical and this CD is excellent. Wonderful music and Michael Damian is a beautiful singer! I would definately recommend this CD to everyone, whether you like musicals or not, the songs will stick in your head but they are all great songs.
We love this soundtrack, it's a great story and very well presented. I had hoped that my 3 sons would become interested in musicals, and when my oldest son, a 2nd grader, was invited to be in the children's choir for our high school's production of "Joseph", it was the introduction needed to get them interested. My son loved being part of it, he never complained or got tired of going to practices. The production was very well done; people were amazed that our small school did such a great job with presenting it. People attending said it was as close to professionally done as any high school production they had seen. My 2 youngest sons have learned the songs and can sing them almost as well as my oldest son. We love the soundtrack and it's played often. I have a feeling we'll wear it out and have to get a new one. I cannot say anything negative about it. My sister got the soundtrack on which Donny Osmond sings the part of Joseph and we prefer our copy to that one. It might be because the persons who sing the narrator part and the Joseph part sound a lot like the young people who sang those parts in our high school production. The money we spent on this soundtrack was well worth it.

Pros: An incredible cast
Cons: None
I was told from a friend that Joseph was one of the most interesting soundtracks you'll hear. She was right. I now know why this soundtrack is one of the more popular musicals from the Lloyd Webber collection. I especially believe that this is one of the better versions. My reason is because this is a better all-around cast. Joseph, played by Michael Damian, is sensitive in this version. He is very well-rounded. His voice is exceptional on the recording. His rendition of "Any Dream Will Do" is great. He does a very good job. The Narrator, played by Kelli Rabke, was a great Narrator. She...

Pros: Great music by Lloyd Webber
Cons: Michael Damien...need I say more?
Joseph is one of my favorite musical CDs to listen to. I've seen the show twice, once with Donny Osmond, and once with Sam Harris. I have all of the available Joseph versions in my collection, except this one. I gave this one away. The general info: the musical was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Tim Rice. It was originally written in the 60s (or 70s...can't remember), and has been revived and updated since. The story is that of Joseph, based (loosely) on the Biblical story. It has every kind of music from reggae to Elvis to country to rap - a little something for everyone. It's a...
