Although this isn't the particular version of the show I've seen in person or listened to on CD, I can't imagine this recording being any less wonderful than the others. This is my favorite musical ever, and let me tell you, there's some huge competition out there! I had the extreme pleasure to see this show twice on stage - one with Donny Osmond as Joseph, and the other with Deborah Gibson as the narrator. I am a pretty big fan of Andrew Lloyd Weber. I know many people don't like him, they feel that his music lacks soul and conviction, I however like him. Why? I like him because of Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Song and Dance, Sunset Boulevard, Phantom of the Opera, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. The last three, being my favorites. My girls just finished a 20 show run of this play and just had to have the CD for Christmas. They were in the children's choir and loved all of the music. By the end of the show, they knew all of the words to all of the songs, and now we can keep on singing at home! This show is sooo much music, that you really get basically the whole show on the soundtrack. You lose very little of the storyline. Our favorite is "Go Go Joe" and "One More Angel in Heaven".
