The book was just okay, but quite interesting. Thanks to half.com, I saved over 300%, and the seller was very efficient in sending the book. Otherwise, the book itself is just another run-of-the-mill. It held my attention for a brief moment.

A duplicate of all of his other books. Nothing new.
Review created: 06/12/08

This book was suppose to be totally new ideas. I know it is old but so are his ideas. My other book by him is even older but contains the same old stuff. Nothing new. I have to assume all of his books are this way since I have nothing else to go by. His books are a big waste of money. He needs to get some new material or get off the shelf.

I have bought and given this book to everyone I know with the recommendation to use the information in it to simplify their daily lives and reduce the amount of chemicals we have all been using and for using the ones we do buy for purposes beyond the original. For cleaning, repairs, health, cooking, medicinal purposes, etc. the natural ingredients recommended in this book replace and even supercede many of those chemical products which mostly have some side effects or are just not as effective or beneficial as the use of the natural replacements Green identifies, such as: vinegar, baking soda, salt, aspirin, and others. There are also many unsuspected uses for every day products we buy, such as charcoal briquets, glue, toothpicks, pantyhose, birdseed, flour, Dixie cups, bleach, cat litter; the list goes on. It is such a daily tool in so many areas, Joey Green's Magic Brands should be a Biblical staple on eveyone's kitchen shelf.

My Favorite Brand Can Do WHAT?!

Pros:
Funny, informative and useful

Cons:
A little pricey for the information

Have you ever used a brand name product for something unusual? I know that I have and some of my friends have as well. My product of choice was AUSSIE INSTANT FREEZE HAIR SPRAY. I used it to stop a spider in it's tracks. I was telling some friends of mine in an online Mommies Email group and found out that I am not the only one who does this to creapy crawlers. In fact, I found several of them that use the same brand of hair spray for the exact same things. It was that discussion that sparked my interest in Joey Green's Magic Brands book. ABOUT THE BOOK The back cover of the book lists...
